Come back with my gf of 3 years and all hell break lose. I never did like the character of Mia, but I realized that Jimmy had to go through his time meeting her to realize that a person who really loves you does not give you stupid advice! When you have two doctors and your boss telling you not to ride bucking broncos because you have a broken back, the last thing he needed to do was listen seriously to her while she goaded him into getting back on a horse! And I think the story writing was lame when they sent him down to the Four Sixes ranch in Texas and the first thing they do is put him on unbroken horses so he can get bucked around out in the pasture! Apparently the dude wants to be paralyzed for the rest of his life!

She threw hands at him in the end because she thought she was entitled to, had a right to. Desire takes. But love gives. The woman he would go on to marry understood that, supported him for exactly what he was and who he was. He didn’t dodge a bullet by forgetting about Mia. The character of Mia will always have a soft spot for me. She’s a cute immature rodeo girl who really does love Jimmy in her own way. Jimmy isn’t a guy who plays games, Mia is.
