Best part about that scene is the way its framed when he comes into the store. They have the camera framed so you think he is buying a guy, when the first thing in the frame at the beginning of the scene is a wrack of guitars on the wall leaving you to think the first thought of him coming into that store in the first place is to buy the guitar, but he still is looking at the guns as an easy means of resolving the issue. Instead he swallowed his pride and humbled walker by giving him the guitar. In the beginning of that particular episode K tells him to swallow his pride. so.

@vinyltapelover2 жыл бұрын
Vnachi8 "...he's conflicted and just doing his best to survive." Indeed. And he knows he won't be able to leave, unless it's a trip to the "train station." Jimmy, on the other hand, shows he wants more than to survive and he has a chance to do it, elsewhere. When Jimmy returns to Yellowstone, he has a conversation, with LLoyd, about his opportunity in leaving and going back to Texas. He's shown how he has grown and acknowledges that being there would not be a good thing for him. Leaving and cowboying with neighbors and others who harbor no ill will is all he wants and is what is attractive to him.
@Vnachi82 жыл бұрын
@@vinyltapelover man, don't even get me started on Jimmy. His character arch was one of the best on the show and I simply don't understand his being written off the show, when the new 6666 hasn't even begun production yet (assuming he's in the cast).

@@Vnachi8 jimmy has his own arch and thought it was very well...watching him become a real cowboy was awesomeness
@Vnachi82 жыл бұрын
@@johndavies5582 100% disagree. Season 4 did nothing to establish a timeline in terms of the length of time that had passed between Jimmy being sent down to the 6666's and when he came back. In Dutton time in Montana, it seemed like a few months had passed during the length of the season, meanwhile in short snippets, we see Jimmy (who was an important secondary character on Yellowstone) progress in both his skills, peer appreciation and relationship in a timeline that seemed much longer than that taking place on the Yellowstone. After 3 seasons of slow development with Jimmy, where the audience slowly built a relationship with him and watch him grow, his arch both sped up and was minimized in the 4th season. Now, it appears he has left Yellowstone and as of the last announcement from Paramount on June 20th, The 6666's isn't even in preproduction yet. So what becomes of Jimmy now, because I'm a hell of a lot more interested in that than I am Kaycee and his annoying ass wife and bratty kid.
@Vnachi82 жыл бұрын
@@vinyltapelover really don't disagree with any of what you said, but I have a different theory. I think in the beginning Taylor Sheridan had specific plans for a story line involving Monica in an important way and as a connection to the reservation and the White world. However as the show developed organically during the following seasons, that intended story line no longer fit with the direction the show was heading and he was now left with her character and nothing really for her to do. You see this playing out with the entire reservation, Thomas Rainwater and Mo Bring's Plenty (who to me is one of the most interesting and intriguing characters to appear on the show). As for Tate, I just think the kid who plays him is a poor actor.

@@mircat28 All the more reason to hire a bunch of Kayce’s ex-SEAL buddies and pay them a shitload to be private security and do the ranch’s dirty work, rather than rounding up unreliable ex-cons outside the prison and pressuring them into violating parole
@Emanuel-oo6mcКүн бұрын
My thought exactly you’re either going to hire people that don’t wanna go back to prison or people that are completely untrustworthy. Plus, the fact that you dumped them at the train station if or when somebody shows up and call the police, their DNA and fingerprints as well as their blood is already in the database. So unless the animals eat their entire bodies, they will have enough DNA to pinpoint that each of these people are all connected to the Yellowstone Ranch.

Walker was in prison but was not a criminal. His crime was an accident. He did not beat the guy to a bloody pulp. It was an unlucky punch. He was not suited for the job he was hired for. I like him and the moral dilemma he brings to the cast. Hope that he finds a home there but that they keep him away from the rough stuff.

Casey and Rip are like Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin, they listen to the Emperor (John Dutton) and help do the bidding of the Empire. Rip and Casey don’t over power one another but many times Darth Vader (Rip) is running things in combat and Tarkin (Casey) are running the military and building things for the Empire. Walker is one of my favorite characters and as much as I like Rip, the fact he forced him and, yes, threatened his life upsets me. Rip didn't like that Walker refused to fight and he was jealous of Walker's fling with Beth and wanted to kill him for it. If Kayce had not rode up, Rip would have trampled and killed Walker with his horse. Walker's character got a raw deal in the first place by defending himself in a fight and subsequently going to jail for it. He just wants to do his job as a cowboy and play his music but, sadly, his life is no longer his own. ... PEACE.

Sheila Burns, I agree but Walker made his decision to get the brand, he wasn't forced to! Love the show and can't wait for S5.✌️👌🙏
@lanasmith71762 жыл бұрын
You missed the point of that scene. Rip wasn't going to kill Walker. He needed to create a reason for him and Kayce to fight, so he went after Walker. Rip knew kayce would stop him, and they would fight it out so Rip could throw the fight, and Kayce would somehow be seen as the new leader. The only reason anything happened in that scene is because John asked Rip to sacrifice everything he had earned. Rip shouldn't be judged too harshly. Walker is a cowboy. He knew what getting branded meant, and he was told only the criminals have them.
