Viva clearance specials! I have another one - surf green - that I have played so much that the frets are gone - I need to get a new neck. I needed one for a CD that I'm working on - all instrumentals - to do an Otis Rush song. So, I looked on E-Bay and found this for around $650. You don't have to spend thousands to get a solid guitar.
