Thank you Jimmy for this great performance and interview with your father. He was a such a great musician and a very nice man. He was the smoothest guitar player I ever saw. I had so many great nights with him, Pinetop, Big Walter, and so many others. Another great solo by you too. I hope that you are well.

Madison Slim is working with Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones in the Tampa Bay area these days. Still a bad-ass harp player!

As of this year Slim moved back up north to be near family.

Thank you, Rogers' complete Chess recordings are fantastic. Interesting that 1)Rogers mentions the greatness of Robert Lockwood and [young] Conan immediately brings it to Robert Johnson (sigh), 2) Rogers credits Lockwood and Sonny Boy 2 for making the blues electric on the radio, and 3) he credits a female guitarist, Memphis Minnie, for being very important.

Is that Bob Stroger on the bass!? I believe so....! Near the time I first saw Slim... with Barrelhouse Chuck... who later toured with Jimmy Rogers in Europe... and other places. LOVE this sh#t!

That is Bob Stroger, one of the smoothest bass players. You know your blues.
