I have passed this house many times, it is in a very spectacular location and I would quite like to live there. It should be remembered that before Saville it was owned and lived in by one Hamish McInnes who was by any standards a real character of a man who led a life of real adventure and was was a bit of a hero of mine.. The house, like the landscape, is an innocent witness to all that happened there so I can see no reason to vilify it. Anyway, think of what happened in places like the Tower of London! Should they be razed to the ground? The thing that really SHOULD be destroyed is the whole celebrity thing, where we take people of little or no worth or talent and turn them in to some kind of hero or heroine.
@janetschwartz17902 жыл бұрын
I'd move into this little house no problems it's lovely. The fact that Saville lived there is no reason to let this place rot away. Sell it and let someone have happy memories of it. Saville is thankfully dead but this little house isn't ! My mother was abused by her own father from the age of three and went on to have a child by him. I know she would say the same as me that this house should be lived in.
@lindasmith5182 жыл бұрын
I was available Abused from the age of 6 by my older brother I say it should be lived in turn it into something beutiful and full of life rather then remember like that . And your mum sounds like she must of been an amazing strong lady x
@janetschwartz17902 жыл бұрын
@@lindasmith518 My mum was amazing she would willingly talk to people about her abuse and once went on the Trisha Show to talk about it with my sister\ aunt. My mum got pregnant by her own father at the age of fifteen and was sent off to one of those awful single parent places to have the baby who was to be put up for adoption. Afterwards she was sent back home as no one believed her that her own father was abusing her. To cut a very long story short..... Unbeknown to both my mum's daughter and herself they ended up with the same doctor who managed to get them reunited. I absolutely loved my sister Anne and she and I had so much fun watching people expressions when I tell them she was my sister but then would call her auntie Anne! Abuse should be talked in the public arena as it is unfortunately a reality as you yourself know. My younger sister wouldn't talk to my mum after she went on the Trisha Show saying you shouldn't wash dirty linen in public and I totally disagree with her as did my mum. If people are not aware that sexual abuse happens then it will continue to happen. Sadly my mum passed away last October but even then she put up a fight..... I was told by doctors that she would be dead within a week but she kept going for a good seven mo the more ! She was a tiny woman with a big heart and lived and loved life to the full.

The property as done nothing wrong and could make a very nice home for someone but now they would be frightened of vandals or thieves approaching the property when they were tucked up in bed. The property nodoubt belongs to Savill's estate and there are many victims who have a valued interest in the property so if you attack the house you are in affect attacking all these victims again.
