I was born about an hours drive from Indiana, PA, but did not grow up in the state. Having a lot of family in the area, we did visit frequently, but it wasn't until June 1st 2016, on a trip from my home in Las Vegas, that I finally got to visit Indiana and the Jimmy Stewart Museum. I've always held Jimmy in high esteem as my all-time favorite actor and his movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" has always been my favorite. It was a great treat to spend the day there in Indiana visiting the sights. I absolutely loved the town and especially that beautiful view by his boyhood home on Vinegar Hill. Now retired, I've actually thought about moving there, so I could volunteer my time working at the museum. Just wish it wasn't as isolated an area as it is, and wasn't so cold, during the winter. I'd love to visit the area again soon, and put together my own video about the town, including the nearby Jimmy Stewart Airport where he'd often fly his own airplane, on his occasioinal visits from Hollywood. There's so much one could tell about Stewart's life there. By the way, I loved your inclusion of the church he attended and missed that during my own visit. Thanks for taking the time to make and share your little piece of Americana with us. Long live the memory of Jimmy Stewart. His truly was, "a wonderful life!"

So glad you liked the video about Jimmy Stewart. He is my all time favorite Actor, When I was a little girl my dad and I would always watch It's a wonderful life, So every year when I watch it, an it brings back good memories of my dad , And I watched it with my children when they were little. John and I always go up there once a year when they have the wonderful life festival . We were planning on going up this year in May to celebrate Jimmy Stewart's birthday but because of the Corona virus the museum was not able to celebrate his birthday with the public. I wish I would have been able to have met him. We went to Seneca Falls in New York a few years ago, They say that's where Frank Capra got some of his ideas for the movie i It's a wonderful life, We were able to meet 3 of the people that played George Bailey's children. Thanks again for your comment.

My favorite actor from Hollywood where my grandfather worked as a director on NBC radio in early 50's. I sent Michael a photo for the museum about 20 years ago of a good picture I had of his mom Gloria and Jimmy along with another couple doing a radio broadcast with Pops. I thought he might appreciate seeing something new. He said he was going to add it in. I come from a military family where us men all served with the 82nd from WW I to the Vietnam Era. The highest respect to a true patriot. Flying was always my favorite thing though I never got to work at it past flight school as there were no jobs in it during the 80's. So I became a Trooper and medic. Thanks so much for the documenting of the area.

Mr. Stewart gave my dad a bike so he could deliver groceries in town. Jimmy was 12 years older then my dad so they didn't hang together but Jimmy was always the nice guy everyone loved. We always went by his dad's General store and by their house up on Vinegar Hill when we went back there. He was a great classy man.

Thanks for doing this. My great grandfather had a theatre in a nearby town. The Liberty Theatre in Rural Valley PA. Jimmy's parents would come over in the late 40's when my grandfather was playing Jimmy's movies and they would pay for people to get in. Very swell folks!

My name is Pam. My grandpa Dull worked for Jimmys dad in his General Store. Mr. Stewart gave my dad a bike with a basket on front to deliver groceries. It was a real trek up Vinegar hill to take groceries to Mrs. Stewart. Jimmy was 12 years older than my dad but they knew each other well.
