I can remember this from when I was 4or 5years of age and it took me a very long time to find this song, I'm 30 now. This song has always been a blessing, especially because John is singing it!!!! Thanks to my great grand mother Mildred Munroe may she rest in peace, for turning on Jimmy Swaggart and seating me in front of the TV. This was my beginning in the walk with Christ. I was raised on Jimmy Swaggart, Hank Sr, Ernest Tubb, Merle Haggard, & John Starnes! My sweet momma used to love to JS & the people that sang with him. I remember "Unworthy Of The Blood" on the "One More Time" album. I got chills when John Starnes would sing. He is incredible & you can tell he sings b/c he is anointed by God!

Those who preach a different gospel preach a false Christ, or an anti-Christ gospel, because the genuine gospel is Jesus. Swaggart does not preach a different gospel, but the gospel of Jesus, albeit he has his shortcomings. We always have the chance to come back into God's grace when we have cast our cares on the Lord, and obtained his grace.

I guess ministers should dress in rags and have a junky car. And live in a shack. Then these one making comments about a minister's success would be satisfied. The Lord said the workman is worthy of his hire. It cost men of God to preach the Gospel a lot. He didn't begin with a silver spoon in his mouth. Besides the many people always accusing preachers of lining their pockets probably never gave to a tv ministry. Still it makes no excuse for anyone not to repent and receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. God Almighty is not going to give anyone a pass. No matter what a preacher does or doesn't do. Repent or perish.

Swaggart and his family are virtual billionaires, and live high on the hog, which I strongly disagree with, but yet this music ministry is still anointed by the Holy Spirit.
