I am sure I am not the only one who notices that a lot of these encounters with aliens and alien technology seem to exactly match whatever is in the popular scifi imagination of the time they occur. What the Hills describe here reminds me of the low budget aliens and spaceships you would see in one of the cheesier episodes of the Twilight Zone. Go figure...

We see that Jimmy has strong reservations about suppressed info gained via hypnosis. But I think it would be a mistake to toss out all such abduction cases involving missing time just because hypnosis was utilized to get to the bottom of things. And I think John Mack and David Jacobs have both addressed the objections to hypnosis.

If she reported that the aliens had large noses, but later thought of them as having almost no noses, I wonder if the alien memory re-programming didn’t somehow over compensate. Like, the people appeared a little too short because in reality they were quite tall...the exaggerated features as some kind of memory counter-balance. Or none of it happened at all. That’s also a possibility.

I'm curious what an alien with a big nose would look like, and this is largely because I have kind of a big nose. It seems like in fiction, alien noses are never very prominent.

I once saw a "star" that zig-zagged across the night sky in the mid-late 60s. This "star" moved and stopped on a dime several times before it instantly moved across a large part of the night sky and suddenly stopped again without slowing down. Finally it got dimmer and dimmer before it faded away. It kind of vibrated or wiggled as it faded away going somewhere else. We didn't have many satellites yet back in the mid-60s. Back in 1961 there were even less. Recall that the first Sputnik was launched in late October 1957 only 3 years or so before the Betty and Barney Hill abduction. This is way before we landed on the moon. To this day I can not explain what I saw. I believe it was a craft from "somewhere else". The event that I saw lasted for a few minutes and my buddy was with me who also saw it too. That being said, I remember as a kid first hearing about the Betty and Barney Hill story. I never believed their story back then and I have doubts about it today but after listening to Barney in the above tape, the object he describes from far away is similar to the "star" that I saw. But my sighting of the "star" was clearly outside our atmosphere and was leaving going who know where? I remember that nobody believed the Hill story back in the day when it first came out. And this is coming from a person, me, who believes he saw a UFO that was not from here.

Aargh! A cliffhanger??!! You know I’m going to spend the whole next week obsessing over this, right? 😂 I was never a big UFO person before this show, but Jimmy has been slowly changing that. This episode just sealed the deal. I was not expecting to be as interested as I actually was. For some reason, it reminds me of the Skinwalker Ranch episode, perhaps because of the humanoid figures on the craft and the feeling of threat Barney experienced. It struck me that Barney and Betty seem to have had different reactions to their experiences. For Barney, it seems to have been an unqualified nightmare. He was scared and felt like he needed to shower afterwards. Betty seemed scared at certain points, but relatively relaxed at others, even laughing about the teeth thing. I don’t know what to make of that, but it’s interesting. I wonder about their ability to communicate with the presumed aliens. Did Betty ever indicate that they were talking to her telepathically like Barney said? If the were speaking with their mouths, then was it ordinary English? I imagine that an alien, even if it had been studying humans awhile, might not be able to reproduce English well. She did say they struggled with some words and concepts. Also, if the story has any truth to it...aliens aren’t big on consent, are they?

Maybe because they are not whom they claim to be :) In what way do the activities of demons bear similarity to those experienced by people who witness UFO phenomenon? Well the first and most obvious similarity is that focusing on UFOs and their occupants distracts us from striving for union with God and the salvation of our souls. If you have ever been around those who are interested in UFO phenomenon you will find that they become obsessed with the idea of extraterrestrials. They are so focused upon this sensational idea that they can hardly think of anything else. This would be most evident among those who have had personal experiences of the First and Third kinds of encounters. Another, experience that indicates demonic activity is that these aliens inspire terror and fear within those who have had contact with them. They describe a feeling of terror similar to that of a caged or cornered animal; so primal, in fact, that it is very difficult for them to describe the panic and hopelessness they feel. The demons feed off of our negative emotions and so it is their modus operandi to inspire as many negative emotions as they can within their victims.

I used to watch shows about aliens back when I was a teenager, that and stuff about physics, and I always made the mistake of watching the stuff about alien abductions right before I went to bed. I don't think that's necessarily a good idea.

@@adamhovey407 It's a bogeyman story. The bogeyman was told for centuries. Now its aliens coming to take us away. I don't believe most of the abduction stories, although Dr. John Mack did. Dr. Mack was a Harvard professor in child psychology and was the first professional to interview the kids at the Zimbabwe school. For anybody who hasn't seen the video of the 1990s event of about 60 school children who were playing at the Ariel School in Zimbabwe, check it out on YT. Those kids were not lying.

I find it odd the "aliens" were using 1960s medical equipment. Considering they came 35 light-years away to medically inspect some random couple in rural New Hampshire. Also: Betty: "Hey aliens where are you from?" Aliens: "Oh, here's a book." Why do aliens have a book? Seems like a hyper-advanced space-faring species wouldn't use books.
