My husband and I have watched you two since you were in the middle of your build. We are in the middle of our own skoolie build. When I heard what you named your bus, I outloud said, "Awww! That's perfect!" I don't know why but it made my heart so happy! I just had to let you know. Congratulations on naming your bus. And blessings to you in your new adventure heading to Canada! We'll be watching! 😃

I've lived my entire life near the west coast. You are close. See the sun SET over the ocean not rise... If you go north to Canada via I5, stop and see some of the camping parks around the Puget Sound. Maybe even put "Sugaro" on a ferry to camp on an island. YOU GO

Hi Jim and Natalie You could always name you bus, Mantis Saguaro. Quiet catchy. All the best and happy travels to Canada. Monty

It would have been great to paint those lines on the outside of the bus with reflective paint. It would look cool at night. I like the name you chose but you need a black silhouette of a saguaro on the bus somewhere.

If your not a Canadian citizen Canada immigration will not allow you entry without being able to prove that you have the funds to support yourself on the trip as well as something tying you back to the US ( a house you own, or a job you need to be in the US for… etc) The way around that is to request a visitor record before going to the border. Alternatively, you can try to cross and if they turn you back, apply them. Might end up staying in the US a couple weeks longer…

On your way north make sure you don't miss Crater Lake in southern Oregon along with Yosemite and the Redwood Forest in northern California. There are SO MANY sights to see in Arizona and Utah. Just to add a little info to your great name choice: saguaro cactus blossom is the state flower of Arizona and as such the cactus is protected. It is illegal to damage or cut one down. Other protections are also in place.

Don’t stop at Banff. Make it to Jasper at a minimum , the parkway is a must. If you have the time, then carry on to Prince Rupert and take the ferry to Vancouver Island and south back to Vancouver on the mainland.

The bus is super now and I do like the steps. Never heard the name before. I would have preferred something funny like Kermit. But hey it's your bus. I am looking forward to seeing the videos on the way to Canada.

I have to add since I know you’re going north next to Boulder dam is a very beautiful area called Ring of Fire it’s a mountain range of red rock I think you’ll absolutely love. Then you can go straight into Las Vegas. But I would really like you to see California and especially Yosemite. My family camped every there for 8 years while I was a kid had so much fun floating down the Merced river. You might wanna try that. Get two large car inner tubes and just float on your dreams. At about 9PM they have restarted what is called the fire fall. They burn huge amounts of wood into charcoal. Then someone yells: “Let the fire fall”. It falls from Glacier Point almost 3000 vertical feet down. Make reservations now if that’s what you choose. You won’t regret it.

Another great video! I think it is so neat that you can stop in the middle of the desert and do a project. No prospect of rain helps. We just watched a Smithsonian Aerial America on the state of Idaho. We had no idea of the stunning scenery and landscape there. You should include that on your trip back from Canada. Safe travels!

You really should travel 1 up the coast it is beautiful my husband and I drove a tractor trailer for eight years and we went from Southern California to Seattle and just took our time there so many beautiful things to see I saw a whale bigger than our tractor trailer on the beach unfortunately I think he was dead there was lots of people around it and the big trees the pine cones are huge just a lot of different scenery the bus looks good☺️

If you haven’t already been there and you’re still in the Phoenix area, you need to go to Sugaro Lake (you can Christian your bus with some water from the lake) which is east of Mesa. It’s absolutely beautiful there, is man made and also near the Superstition Mts., and Apache Junction. Have fun and stay safe and I look forward to your next videos.

Hey you two. Love the sprucing up of the bus, that white striping looks cool. Yo Jimmy - Mesa is pronounced MAY-Sa. Like the many mesa's in the entire west. If y'all are gonna be desert dogs, you gotta know the pronunciations. 😆. Also, I recommend traveling Hwy 101 (or 1) up the California coast, through Oregon and Washington to Vancouver BC. Then go over to Banff and come back into Montana through Glacier National Park. Or, reverse. From AZ, you should be able to take US 89 all. the way up to Canada. And there's so much to see on US 89. I wanted to do a photo book on 89 from beginning to end. I just need motivation. Oh and make sure you kow Canadian regulations before you go. They are going to search your bus when you enter, guaranteed. They tore my RV up a few years ago, probably cuz I had NM plates and the whole Breaking Bad thing. But you guys will stick out like a sore thumb, two young people in a lime green n skoolie... yeah. And heck, the border might be closed due to Covid. It was last year when I wanted to go, supposedly that is now open.

Before going to Canada you need to check into travel restrictions because of Covid. After the massive protesting this month many of the provinces have started to lift the mandates on Canadians but Americans crossing the border are required to be fully vaccinated and quarantine for 14 days. If you do drive all the way up to Montana and decide against crossing into Canada there is still plenty of beautiful places to see in Montana and Wyoming. Obviously Yellowstone NP and The grand Tetons NP and I highly recommend Glacier National Park but the going to the sun road it’s still snowed in in much of June so I recommend getting there in late summer you also have to make reservations in an advance for the going to the sun road. Because of International travel restrictions the national parks are considerably busier than usual. I highly recommend going to Utah, they have five national parks and I recommend all of them, you can’t go wrong visiting any of the national parks, mational monuments or State parks on the Colorado plateau which includes the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest/Painted Desert, Zion, Arches, Bryce canyon, Canyonlands, Mesa Verde andCapitol Reef Naional Parks. Just remember to take elevation into factor when planning your route. You want to visit low elevation areas in the spring and high elevation areas in the summer to take advantage of warmer weather at the low elevations early in the season and cooler and weather at the high elevations later in the summer.
