I have no ill will toward early access games, but the fact that even Le Mans Ultimate had a better launch than this is kind of funny

@@E.Fleming9PS the early access tag is being abused by developers. It works as players seem to buy into the idea that early access means the game can be this minimal. A proper label for this release would have been “beta testing!” Early access should be restricted to games that are complete but know there are bugs to work out of the release. Regardless of whatever network issue they had, the game is clearly not finished! The issues displayed in this stream include poor sound design, an “always online” requirement for content, poor UI, terrible AI, lack of FFB, and content locked from single player offline enjoyers! Those issues are not bugs, they are not tied to the early access release. They are issues caused by rushing development to meet an arbitrary deadline! They had years to obtain proper engine sounds, tire sounds, to develop the AI, the UI, make sure wheels work properly. How they didn’t get that done before this release is beyond me.

Regardless if it’s a brand new entry on a brand new engine, they still have business practices and ways of doing things that pass from project to project.

I'm happy to wait. I didn't expect the game to really be any good on early access first release. They have a very ambitious project and it is going to take time for them to work it out. We live in a golden age for racing sims, so thankfully it isn't like we're starved with nothing else to play!

Just finished a 90-minute stint- The road effects and FFB feel great! Disappointed the "20 cars" includes different liveries, but a 7-8 month roadmap to full release means a content drop every month. Only encountered couple very small bugs too. I'm hopeful for what's to come. Plus the Early Access price was half of what I expected! That alone has my respect.

The cars aren’t showing in the offline version, the Porsches and alpines etc. should be there, they’re just having server issues

You see, I am not afraid to point out problems with a poorly developed game while still expecting the best from it. You shouldn’t think so lowly of yourself! You deserve to receive a functional product upon purchase!

Just bought the game and drove some laps. They are having major issues. Missing cars and other crap too. But the FFB and the drive feels great.

Agreed - the FFB is awesome. Its a shell of a game right now, but I think it's going to be great. Purchased but going to wait to play after some much needed updates.

I’m of the opinion that early access does not build hype for a game when there’s issues. Yes it’s EARLY access but if they can’t release a working slice for people to get a taste, you’re just left wishing you hadn’t wasted your time. Upon release you may be less likely to purchase.

It's a bit of a shame it's had such a terrible reception, but 20000+ sales must have exceeded Kunos' expectations. I never intented to buy it anyway, as I don't like the idea that it seems like a console game, but with realistic handling. But still, hopefully all the issues will be resolved pretty soon, and it continues to sell, despite the rough launch. As it is, I'll stay with AMS2 and Raceroom.

Just downloaded and played it and it runs like fucking shit on ny pc. I thought it would. RTX3050 and Ryzen 3600 with 32gb ram. I wasnt expecting much but 28 fps on the very low graphics preset is miserable 😆 back to iracing until i can get a new gpu i guess

Does anyone who tried it have issues with g27? For me the steering just doest work. I can steer with the gas and the clutch. Which is weird, because my clutch doesn't work💀 I tested it In ETS2 now, and everything works as it should. I have no idea what could be the problem.

I have a G27 aswell and after putting the right settings, everything worked correctly. Make sure your settings are correct (put your steering on axis and not single button, etc...)

Game needs more time in the oven and they ought to be a bit more careful with making sure what they promise for EA matches up perfectly with what folks get (and is well communicated). But...... it looks nice and the driving looks good. And that's kind of the point, right?
