RaceRoom's recent updates improved the physics significantly, especially the tyre physics. Totally underrated sim. Thanks to Tim Heinemann who is RaceRoom ambassador and made the jump from Sim to Real (he is driving GT3 in a Porsche these days), the developers got much improved feedback for GT cars.

im just casual simracing enthusiast and i like raceroom physics before bcos you dont have to alter much of the baseline setup to make the car drivable. now it feels very understeery, and im not good with setups, i just change ARBs, tyre pressures and brake bias before but now i need an in-depth understanding of all settings 😭😭😭 pls send help

@@arvinwitara6266 There are two main parameters I change for car balance. You can make your car less understeery by changing the aerodynamic balance to the front (more wing on the front or less at the rearl, which affects especially the balance at mid-to-high speed corners. You can also adjust the anti-roll bars. Softer anti-roll bars at the fron (less) or harder anti-roll bars at the rear (higher number) makes your car more understeery. For a further look into the complex process of setups, just watch some detailled setup guides. The setup making process can be easily one of the most time-consuming and frustrating ways to prepare, you rather just want to download a setup 🤣

I really like Raceroom. Their version of F4 by Tatuus is my favorite open wheel experience in simracing as a whole. (Especially on circuits like Charade, Sepang or Suzuka) I love the sound design of that game, which is second to ACC in my books. The graphics are still more than serviceable. Their LMP cars are great fun in general. You need to spend something like 15 bucks 25 bucks to get a really decent car park variety (oh boy, historical DTM machines in RR are so good.) and tracks to drive on. With this little investment you also get the ability to participate in permanently running Prac/Quali/Race rotation of competition 3 clicks away. The force feedback is IMHO a crossover between AC and rF2 model, and physics are in general really enjoyable, although the cars are still a tad bit more grippy than in real life. I concur to your sentiment that the game is underrated and I highly recommend to anyone it to try it if you haven't yet. RR is my personal favorite to learn new tracks in, because of how SOLID the game is.

Raceroom is a bunch of fun. Old engine that weirdly sometimes struggles in VR, but the amoun of cars you can put on track, plus the way AI makes mistakes here and there. Closest to racing humans! Tons of fun.

Thanks for the info on RaceRoom. I'd been wanting to get a racing sim just so I could drive around the Nurburgring but hadn't decided where to start. Downloaded the game after hearing you talk about it in this video and after a few laps around the free tracks I knew I wanted more. Bought the Nurburgring track for $8.99 and now I'm having a blast doing exactly what I wanted to do without a ton of investment. Well worth the money in my opinion. 🤷‍♂ Cheers! 🍻

They did just update the TC settings so that they mimic the real cars so much more. You can now adjust ABS and some cars have two different TC settings (lateral and longitudinal).

You should do a hotlap in that and compare your sim times to your IRL times! It would be nice to see a comparison on whays faster in the sim vs irl and vice versa. Really loved the N24 this year again and love how Jimmy and Co. are living their dreams at the moment BUT the chat was very toxic this year on the English broadcast of ADAC. Still don't understand why so many people were so salty about the red flag and the total unawareness for the drivers and the marshals safety. These people are totally oblivious that the N24 have been red flagged atleast 4-5 times the last ten years due to fog/bad weather. The only bad decision that was taken during this year's N24 was to end the race while there was still one hour on the clock but the red flag and the duration of it was justified purely out of safety reasons and the reputation this circuit has....
