In addition to cbt,try to commit doing daily meditation (my recommendation- Mark Williams Mindfulness or Deeper Mindfulness audio books-it includes guided meditations, no hippy new age stuff,just very on point scientific methods). It also explains how and why the mind works if interested

I had to pay the taxman £1200:and they fined me £200: I told the taxman my accountant did it and it was tax avoidance not tax evasion.She just said he wasn’t very good was he pay up or you will get charged every week for non payment.Thats twice I have been stitched up by accountants PAYE it don’t work.

Similar experience myself. Moved on now, as you say it's avoidance not evasion. There's plenty of politicians still avoiding tax.
