I saw Jimmy twice - once in Belfast circa 2004 then in Derry about 6 years later. This clip reminds me that the audience reaction and heckling generally are much warmer and less mean spirited here than they are in Britain. :) Jimmy's mum being irish clearly gives him a particular understanding

Went to see him last Thursday in Doncaster and previously on other tours when nearby. Jimmy gets funnier and funnier . I took some doubters along and they loved him . Result as funniest guy around and also great to see Jimmy say his fave was Sean Lock another great comic genius

If you pay to see a comedian you should be getting something for it. Crowdwork is great and it absolutely has its part, but on its own its not a show. And these days its becoming what separates the boys from the men so to speak, in the stand-up game. Theres nothing finer than a well crafted joke and thats the measure of a comedian.
