Fun treat, I installed last night (December 5th 2024....7:30pm)while running some deliveries on my day off, I was driving and plugged my Phone in and the charge animation read driving with a car icon in it. No one has mentioned this yet, but it was a cool feature of the new allocated space.

When you have the notifications and quick settings set to separate you can swipe left or right at the top of the panel to switch between the two. You can also switch back to the horizontal app drawer if you change to custom sort. Alphabetical sort is vertical and custom sort is horizontal.

I like this new ui. Some elements are going to need some getting used to, but I'm just glad that Samsung is doing something interesting or different with their devices. I don't care about copying or where they got the inspiration as long as they try more things over time. I wish they would do more with the edge panels. And I hope good lock has some things in the works as well.

They're actually "getting rid of" edge panels, I'm so disappointed by this😢. I use edge panels everyday. The Samsung Members notification said that you'll still be able to use edge panels but if you delete the app or panel you won't be able to re-download. I'm hoping they'll reconsider and keep edge panels around since it really is a very convenient app even though app designers aren't making new panels.

This update might finally make me switch to the S25 Ultra. I never liked the Samsung keyboard, but you had to use that to get the AI writing tools, so it’s nice to see you can finally have Gboard and still get those features. The whole aesthetics of the ui look really nice too. Really impressed.

@jimmyispromo I guess I wouldn't say it's a folder. When you have multiple apps in one little square and it expands and shrinks when you hold on it. If that's referred to as a folder I think that the terrible name for it it's not something you go into to get your files.

Jimmy. Before I ask my questions, just want to say great video! Can you still use Google Wallet with this beta? In my state, we can use Google Wallet for our driver's license and state ID. I can't afford to lose that. Are you still able to use 3rd party launchers in the beta? I run an extensive build with multiple launchers combined that is ergonomic for me. I don't want lose my aesthetics, ergonomics and efficiency. I appreciate your feedback. 😁

Google Wallet works. I opened it, and everything is there. As for launchers, I am unsure. I am not a launcher user, as I like One UI. I don't believe they would have changed anything to prevent launchers from working.

Still, no custom vibrations for specific apps? To my taste, this new bubbly layout reminds me a little much like apple, also decreasing that 'professional look' of the UI. I really like Samsung phones, but if they're going to try to be more and more like iPhones, I will probably just buy the apple one. I'm hoping good lock will be able to reverse some of these design choices. Having said all that, I really appreciate the ability to customise the layout of the notifications panel, that's a nice touch. Gallery, Camera and Battery optimisation updates are Always welcome too. Its just that design style... really hoping this can be reverted.

Does this new update fix the notification issue right now on my current version 6.1.1 my phone has to be awake for the actual notification to go off like text messages or alerts outside of alarms or calendar events but earlier versions I never had this issue I will get an alert and receive it in the same moment
