same thing with Mexican culture. We're indigenous too but we get alienated. and our culture gets appropriated a lot, like the cowboy stereotype, a lot of "cowboys" have confederate flags and want Mexicans out despite them not being from here and dressing just like us. bit ironic really.

I truly think Sean from Hot Wings combined with the charisma of Graham Norton is the way forward for talk show hosts, having meaningful conversations with celebrities. This was like a cheesy awkward bite/ grab for 5 mins of content where they are trying to get a funny line to use for the video title, when the person sitting in front of her is an absolute genius who has so much knowledge to share. Sarah Silverman, who I really enjoy in other things, just isn't cut out for the presenter role. Something just really off about this interview, as if she just wasn't prepared with what to say to Taika. Conan would have been fantastic for this, and obviously Kimmel too.

Scarlett Johansson (who plays the protagonist's mother in the film) is Jewish. So is Taika Waititi. I don't know what Sarah Silverman's comment there was about. Maybe she was referring to how Thomasin McKenzie (who is not Jewish, as far as I know) played Elsa, the little Jewish girl, in the film? It seems like a weird thing to bring up in the interview, given that one of the main actors in the movie IS Jewish, as is the film's director.
