It was Morgan, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, Brian Cox, and Richard Dreyfuss, plus a bunch of other great people. The film was RED. It was an intrigue, comedy, rom-com, farce, action, adventure, fantasy, whatever. It was a great film with an incredible cast. You never think you will get that sort of cast together in one place. Here you did,and they were brilliantly wonderfully outrageous, as they should have been. Everyone got their moments to shine,and they did so without detracting from anyone else's moments.

It received no Oscar buzz in any category, not even effects or lighting or anything else. Yet some of the films that get Oscars I want to scream. Marissa Tomei gave the performance of her career and deserved her Oscar, but many come up short. I am still working on how Slumdog Millionaire was the best picture. All the films out there that year, and the best picture, was a foreign language Bollywood film. Make it the best foreign language film, but not the best picture.
