I've heard that quote before and my answer would be to just analyze what makes a "good old day" for yourself via your past memories then use that to see if it's similar but with life you can be/do completely different things in your life so I can see how it can be hard to realize but I would say just combine what I said with listening to other people that have gone through the experiences you're going through at that moment to see if you are in the good days. And to see what you have to be grateful for everyday to be mindful of everything that is good in your life so that you don't end up realizing those things when you are past those good times.

It's strange when older people see the next generations having their own thing and still expect them to be up to date with the older generations, when they themselves wouldn't be able to relate to the generations before theirs either. The minute you start getting old and it hits you that you have lost your youth and your best days are behind you-you’ll do the same thing. Everyone does, they can’t help it. Nostalgia sets in, and you want validation that someone younger remembers something about the past that you loved so much. There will come a day when you say something about an artist that you loved and the new generation people will say “Billie who?” They won’t have a clue who you are talking about and it will be unimaginable to you.

I can’t think of a name Mine are physical as well, and depending on the severity of the cursing, it can become physical. We’re trying to figure out what I have - I think it’s nerve damage because I was fine until I injured my back 4 years ago when I fell on top of suitcases and cement in Georgia visiting family. Back in California I expected soreness for awhile, but then it became like someone stabbing a knife through my back and dragging it down. They claim the couple different scans on my brain show nothing going on, but a lot of times the spike in pain in my back will correlate with the spike in intensity of my “episodes”. I involuntarily thrash (and have punched my parents in the jaw and eyes), and I physically can’t control whether or not I scream. It just comes out. Apparently loud enough that my dad heard me OUTSIDE our house in the driveway, but I was in my bedroom. I’m pissed the doctors don’t seem to take it all that serious. Last summer I understood because I almost died from liver and respiratory failure brought on by undiagnosed PTSD that doesn’t pre-date my fall. That’s why I’ve always hoped she has a more mild/minor case. Though they are making breakthroughs in all but eliminating ticks in some of the most severe cases.

Kimberly Haines dang I’m so sorry that sounds so horrible. I think Billie definitely has a more mild case, and by physical I meant like moving her eyebrows or head a certain way, I should’ve been more clear. I really hope you get better

I’m so happy for her. She seems to be genuinely happy. She’s come so far and I love that we’ve been able to watch her grow into this amazing person and accomplish such big things. She’s glowing from the inside out. I truly hope she keeps that light and happiness x
