I've seen Dax speak in a lot of interviews, so that part was normal. But hearing Monica's voice and actually seeing it come out of her was so weird for a second. Like, her voice is not just a disembodied voice in my headphones. It has a physical location, and it really messed with my brain for a second 😂

Dude had a major hand injury, but has to carry the stigma of destroying 16 years of sobriety… I mean, why make a person feel like they’ve failed for being injured and require medication if they return to sobriety when healed? I say the clock should stop and restart as long as you keep clean again. This must be tremendously difficult.

He admitted to abusing again after his hand was healed. Thankfully he has a supportive wife and family and was able to get him help before he spiralled out of control. He shouldnt be so hard on himself though. Being in actual pain and you do need to take painkillers, its almost a given you will have a relapse. I would call this a mulligan, how about you?

@@ginadelsasso288 Agreed. I’m about 10 years sober from painkillers, and I never counted the few times I needed painkillers for surgery. Even if I took them for a week or two longer than I was suppose too, I’m not starting over my time because of that lol. I also don’t subscribe to NA though, I know it’s helped people but the cult like mentality of it creeps me out. But yeah, Dax still has 16 years under his belt. A short relapse doesn’t erase that and shouldn’t erase that. I would call that a small hiccup.
