Yeah, it was around 1995 when Eddie’s movie career wasn’t going so well. Spade was on weekend update and showed a picture of Murphy and said “look kids, a falling star. Make a wish.” Murphy was pissed and called Spade at work on Monday to yell at him. He was mad about it for a long time.

Gerald Boney I couldn’t care less if he saved the show and I would debate you on biggest star from the show (Adam Sandler, Will Ferrel) but I do love Eddies movies, especially the older ones. No, I don’t think he thought about David Spade for 30 years, but it’s Hollywood. David has been asked about this for 30 years now on every talk show and shows like Howard Stern etc. You don’t think anyone eve brought it to to Eddie? No agents, friends, etc? David Spade has become my favorite entertainer. Lots of people are funny if they have time to sit down and write material but he is just naturally funny and comes up with great lines off the top of his head. Even if the line isn't funny on paper just his whole demeanor and delivery of it make it funny. Just got back from seeing his talk show live in Hollywood and it was cool to see him up close and how the show runs behind the scenes. Definitely go if ever in Hollywood. It's free so the price is right.

Here’s an out of the box thought--All of the late night shows could have just one crowd of people that they screen for the virus daily and health and go to all of the shows both for LA and NY. This way it’s just one set of people either shared or per show instead of the usual turnover of people daily and maybe they could use people that work in the industry as extras who don’t live or usually come into contact with compromised people so they still have an audiences. 🤷‍♀️ 😇♾🦋

Why would they waste tests on 200+ people DAILY just to fill an audience for entertainment purposes? We can't even keep restaurants and schools open, which seems more important than filling a studio audience. It's a better use of resources for these shows to NOT have an audience and air the interviews on TV for people to enjoy at home. At least they're still able to do interviews right now and put these shows together for us!
