Pokadot101 Sad. This is why he won, everybody ignored all the kind hearted actions he did for the great people in our country. Doesn't surprise me the media doesn't cover the good stuff, but he hand delivered food and supplies to the folks who were impacted by floods last year. He's invited so many families on stage to share their story about the impacts of illegal immigration and held weeping mothers in his arms. People voted for Trump out of the LOVE they have for our great country. My family were one of those people :)

Musicians are great communicators, which is an important talent. However, it's more important to be right, and it's hard to be right if you're not patient enough to wait for some real evidence. I give him credit for not making it a Dem/GOP thing, but he should be wise enough to know that it's too early to give Trump his final grade as President, before he's even 6 months into his administration. What if music fans had written off U2 after their first few gigs, because they truly sucked at that time? Maybe Bono should remember that.

I’m sad that Bono hasn’t yet met with Donald Trump. I hope he will. I think it would change his mind if he did. I used to be a democrat, but like Bono said - and he’s right - I’m angry. I got fed up with what my city had become. All my friends went downhill on drugs, alcohol, and smacked into the low-resolution postmodern marxist brick wall their colleges sold them. Times have indeed changed. The country became aware that the postmodernists were just another tyrannical greed mob.

I am a Trump supporter, but I appreciate what Bono just said and here's why. It seems that the majority of the time when celebrities, T.V. personalities and really the media in general are asked about or decide to discuss Trump, they do it from a position of hate and anger. They express hate towards Trump, and towards the people that voted him in office. This just widens the gap between those that support Trump and those that do not, and it really just damages our country. There is no effort to understand where the other party is coming from, because it is easier to just claim the other party has evil and selfish intentions. Bono said what he did from a position of respect. He expresses that he understands WHY people voted for Trump, that there were many people who were upset with how the country was being ran before Trump was voted into office, but then goes on to RESPECTFULLY explain why he is opposed to Trump. There is no anger, there is no hate, there is no accusatory jargon. A lot could be learned from a man like Bono, especially in Hollywood.

With respect, I don't agree with him one bit, especially when I see where America is heading NOW by comparison, but I profoundly admire his honest, thoughtful, mature and most of all, VERY respectful and eloquent response. THAT'S, how it's done. And I'm not even a fan. But now I completely understand why Mr Bono commands the attention of some of the most powerful people I've seen him engaging with in the past. Such a refreshing attitude. We can't even get this kind of class and grace from our OWN disgraceful news media in the West let alone much better in entertainment or alternative media. Not what I was expecting quite frankly. The surprise is nice.

Such an incredibly eloquent response. I love U2.

@Glynna Schmehl You're responding to I believe almost everyone who says something good about Bono or U2. Why? Don't you have better things to do then to trash on someone's opinion if it isn't the same as yours?

Bono the man who doesn't pay taxes in his own country Ireland and let the poor people do this. Has multiple big houses in many countries. Invest his money in for example oil companies, create charities and pays less than 2% to the people who needed this most. I think he could become a good politician. This is not more the Bono from U2 I have seen in the 80's. He has changed on a negative way. The reason? I don't know.

Well, bono was or is still in the mind of judaism. Judaism tells you that you can cheat for power and power is what he had?

Now you are speaking the truth. These other star struck idiots think he is so eloquent but I can see right through him. I'm tired of Kimmel turning his show into a political forum. He only invites guests that think like he does because he couldn't debate somebody like Ben Sasse or even Ben Carson. Kimmel is a hack.

Your comment didn't age well. Meanwhile U2 was charging $2,500 for front row seats at The Sphere in Las Vegas and $800 for general admission. Do you think Bono and the band care about who their fans are when they go home?

"He likes to see their faces on the crowd, but I dont think He likes to know who they are when they go home." This is what the "mega stars" do after a concert. "Transfer": when you think other people do, what you do.

This hasn't aged well at all! Bono and the band love to see the thousands of faces at their extremely expensive concerts, but do they honestly care about who their fans are once they perform the last song and they exit the concert arena?!! For U2 shows at The Sphere in Las Vegas, general admission tickets to the final shows costed roughly $800 to more than $1,000 at Stubhub and Vivid Seats. Want front-row seats? Tickets were approximately $1,100 to more than $2,500! Did 1966 Beatles tickets at Shea Stadium cost anywhere near much as this, or the Rolling Stones priced with inflation? I was young'n back in 2000 when I remember one of my wealthy friends invited me to see a U2 concert with mutual friends where he bought a section of tickets at the Oakland Oracle Arena. The ticket was $120 already back then for OK seats.
