Eugene Levy deserves his star...he should've gotten it years ago. If they ever make a movie about Edgar Ulmer, the old-time B (and C and D and Z) movie director, Levy would be a natural lead. Ulmer was a go-your-own-way type, a character in his own right, and Levy, while not THAT offbeat, would be perfect.

LOL I live in Burlington. I remember them at the library doing that play. It was such a small space yet they did plays and had concerts there. Martin Short had a cottage up where ours was - so do Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

One of my favorite people. I was about 13 or 14 when Splash came out and I remember his running joke threw out the film saying, "What a week I'm having!". I thought it was the funniest thing. And then a couple years later, Armed and Dangerous came out. I am still laughing at the scene in the adult book store with him and John Candy. 😂

Johnny Carson was a fan of SCTV and had Catherine O'Hara and Martin Short (and Celine Dion, too!) on for a chat. At different times. And the other guest on with Martin Short was Betty Davis! WOW! He also lived next door to my sister in Toronto. In the downtown. Eugene Levy also played "Alex Trebek" in the spoof version of Reach For The Top. It was the Canadian high school quiz show produced across Canada by the CBC. In the 1960s-1970s.
