You would be amazed how often people do that instead of paying a $1200 repair bill. The irony is that often times they ignored the issue which caused more damage and increased the cost to fix. On the flip-side, people straight up cannot afford to fix their vehicles in this economy. They're turning down tires and brake jobs..
@JimmyMakingitworkАй бұрын
Yeah, many would rather just make a car payment then put another thousand, or 3 thousand on their credit card. Tuff times.

Drill a hole in the bottom of that plastic tray on Audi. I drill a tiny hole at the bottom of all headlights and tail lights with moisture in them. The sun dries them right out. 😮

Thanks for the video Jimmy! I fixed up a belt grinder today, it's been waiting patiently for some love (and a new belt) It was given to me because it needed new bearings in the front wheel and had a dodgy power switch. Both easily fixed but the belt tracking was off by miles. Some shims fixed the tracking and I gave my mower blades a quick sharpening as a test. Now I have a nice grinder and my lawn is trimmed!

Hello Lou, I have had good luck with TOPDON, Launch and Autel. XTool and even the Vdiagtool I have also work well though. Right now I’m using a Launch X432 Pro TT and it is working very well. Just no kick stand, :). I’d buy the best one I could afford from the first three if buying another myself. Hope this helps!

Jimmy, I'm not positive but I think the cheapest AuthoAuth account supports five scan tools. You may be able to set up more of your tools with it without spending more.

Late model year fca vehicles if the mileage is flashing means a module is not configured to the network. There is a procedure called "proxy alignment" and will basically do a handshake to set that module up with other modules...only can be done with witech and 2023's need the new micropod 2 (Chrysler's VCI). Also 1 autoauth subscription is good for 5 scan tools if you go over 5 you either delete a tool or upgrade to a shop pro account

Ok cool, special Chrysler stuff, I suspected as much since it's the only one that does it. Thank you. :)

Yeah, have to access the module, usually behind the cluster or control panel. A bit of work. We just need to pay the subscription on a couple of scan tools in the shop, but they are cheap. Maybe some day, haha.

Cracked up when you had to drill holes in the Audi "starter relay bathtub" to drain the water. Hans und Franz vur schleepzen on the day of that design. I've never seen a car relay that works under water. Maybe you have in your 40 years of experience.

Audi stands for " Another Used Dumb Invention." Great place for the Relay box, just below the cowel. Very few people clean the cowel, so you get a waterfall on the electrical box. I can see the debris clogging up the cowel. Wunderba.

All Jimmy does is complain. He tries to hide it and pretend that it’s a joke by laughing at the end of his whines but it doesn’t work to hide it. If you hate working on cars don’t do it. If not stop being a baby and change your situation

Typical gaslighting, blaming the victim(Jimmy) instead of calling for change with the criminal(manufacturer). No one likes working on modern automobiles because every nut and bolt is counter-intuitive and often inaccessible entirely. You clearly have never done this for a living because I've never met an auto mechanic that doesn't complain daily, mainly because we're paid half of what we should be. Welcome to the day in the life of a mechanic shop.

I have been at my shop/dealship (boats) for 26 years in august so I am the go to guy I also look up 85 percent of the parts. Usually pretty easy going but this past couple weeks when I’m crammed down in an engine compartment remember I am 6-3 and 290 lb and another tech comes and asked how to I find the service bulletin or the salesman will come back and ask what depth finders will work together for networking and my answers have been when I was learning I had to read to figure it out so to me has been frustrating that when I’m cramming blin those areas trying to do diag have to stop climb out get out of a boat put my shoes back on go up to the counter to show someone what book or website to go to Meanwhile having the owner and or customers upset that I don’t have there boat done. Sorry I’m just ranting at the moment I have to remember I can only row my own 🚤
