Cool idea, Jimmy! I'll be showing this video to my boss soon.

I like the idea. May be not do it at all because of department policies in my hospital but you gave me an idea of using bipap with nasal pillow more often instead of high flow n/c when not tolerated well.

The Vapotherm works on type 2 and type 1 patients. You can accomplish both in one machine through a NC

I bought a v60. Your video are a godsend. But how the heck do I get the dawn plug into the back of the machine

That usually isn't hard. I wonder if a pin is bent on the power cord.

Awesome. Didn't see the flow graph of your study though. Did I just miss it?

I left it at work. Will post this week!

In your experiment was the whisper exhalation valve on there? I have to say it’s interesting and great way when you don’t have any other options.

Wow! That would be a bad day! I'm not sure I can do a video on that...

How are we converting pressure to flow? I caught something about him showing a graph but then I never saw one

Look on my KZbin page under the 'community' tab for the flow chart.

You usually wouldn't do this, but technically, if you wanted to hook a Trach patient up to a T-Piece, or Trach Collar, HEATED that is, You could technically use that BiLevel device to allow some HEATED HIGH FLOW, and you could hook that up to the V60, and set that up, so that It is just providing High Flow, and therefore, Hook the trach collar, or Briggs T-Piece up to the machine. Obviously you aren't going to be providing CPAP, or biLevel, but You would get the heated high flow, and You'd get that FiO2 you want! I like the T-Piece better than a Trach collar!

Great video! We are using HFNC more and more lately. It's good to know we can do this with the V60s. Are you able to share the flow study you mentioned?

Would you demonstrate how to change it from ST mode to High Flow mode instead of CPAP mode only. Also when on High Flow mode what is the maximum LPM flow you can use?
@rtclinic3 жыл бұрын
I don't have a V60 at my facility with High Flow mode. If we purchase one, I'll do a video😁

Did you try pausing the flow graph and scrolling through the waveform to measure the flow?

That's a good idea.. I should have done that..
