I was going to say its thinned out Raptor liner, it produces an effect like that and feels like plastic. Think some of the bumper texture paints are basically the same thing, but might be better with a chemically cured liner for durability.

QUICK FACT: The RB is actually an extended CA18. The design of the RB is based upon the CA18. R31 came with a CA18 initially and then got then rb20 in later years. The CA is also a SUPER capable engine if you do head studs and gasket.

That interior is sprayed with a truck bed liner that has a hardener in it. So probably something like rhino liner. I did my Jeep's interior panels with it and its the exact same. I totally suggest it!

I was gonna CA swap my d21 but I watched prices skyrocket over night about 6 months ago. Went from 2k for an engine, trans, ecu- and now they're like 5 grand😂 but- if you build those ca's and treat it like an rb, crank trigger, slow down the oil, tap into the back of the head for some catch can action, and hks/ tomei made really nice parts, and I've seen those things make 600hp. And since it's such a tiny block, they're super light. And the bore and stroke is similar to a Honda, that shit literally will fucking rev to the moon 🌚

You're not kidding about the lack of good alignment places in CT. Luckily when I lowered my G and did the adjustable arms it was when my friend was working at what used to be European Specialties. We went down there on a weekend when they were closed, did the work and drove around to the other bay with the rack. Easy. I need a few touch ups by this point, at least I know Stay Gold is good to go, sucks they're so far away from us.

It's not that they are hard to find. It's getting them to set them to the alignment you want. So many places won't touch it.

its bedcoating thats been reduced by like 80%. Pretty sick interior coating trick. Problem with it is in the summer heat you get a very distinct smell in the vehicle. its not horrible though.

Those ca18s made some pretty good power here in the Caribbean back in the days. We got the jdm models from new so 180sx and 200sx. They were strong as fuck too. Not sure how they hold up now due to age. Don’t see them much anymore. We called them the mini RB also lol.

The stuff on the interior plastics, look like Mipa structured bumper paint. We have it in the EU, you might have them too. I painted all my lips and sideskirts, rear valance, so all exterior textured plastic with that stuff, it's sprayed out of a gun mixed with a special thinner, and honestly it is rock solid once it dries, no rockchips whatsoever after 3-4 years driving and legit looking like factory texture.

CA18DE and DET are cool engines, we got them in our S12 (Called 180ZX) and S13 (called 200SX) here in Sweden. I also swapped my DE for a DET in my S12 back in the day.

Ca18 aka the mini RB. It's popular in Europe we got it in the 200sx s13 with a 4 runner head instead og 8 (flows a lot better) The 2 bigges foults is the breather tube from the crank case, and oil drain. Fix the breather tube and u can stay on limiter for days. CA18 for the win 💪

Check motor mounts and tranny mounts on the Z, with it swinging from side to side it can break stock ones and cause the fan to become unbalanced or hit the shroud, also with that make sure the crank pulley (balancer) isn’t worn on the rubber part. Buy new water metal impeller pump, aluminum thermostat housing, and throw in a low temp thermostat and call it a day. and dont forget the blueberry juice.
