I think it’s VERYYY obvious I’m using WAYY too much hand brake hahaha i was literally yelling at myself watching the footage last night. The car has always felt sooo unstable i drive it soooo defensively. But I’ve learned A LOT this weekend but my complete lack of seat time over the last two years really shows. I’m still very proud of myself considering. I’m hoping to drive a TONN this year and my main focus is training myself to break my bad habits of being too anxious and just DRIVE. One step at a time, no substitute for seat time 🤝❤️🔥

I'd say 90% of the times you Ebrake you could of gotten closer and been more controlled using left foot brake, your car has the grip, power and angle now to point it round more and power round instead of sliding on Ebrake. Personally I'd remove the lever for a session and learn to use other methods to link the track, so glad you finally got it dialled though and can't wait to see the proggression thru this year.

For not having a lot of seat time you drifting is really good also you can tell that your shallow up because you’re not used to how much Angl you have now and that ok I just hope you get more confidence so you can hang it out there like the boys

@dobbzmotorsport39392 жыл бұрын
Im not at all trying to armchair drift, but I think the reason you are using handbrake more than youd like is because the focus on your tandem seems to be the front wheels of the leading car, where it would be a lot smoother and set up your transitions more nicely if you aim to position yourself on the rear wheels. Itll cause you to transition later, and mimic the lead car better, so you wont need to extend the straight line via ebrake due to transitioning too early. The car looks gnarly right now though with that angle! Sick man, pumped to see all the content with this thing! Cheers MANE!

Jimmy indeed pulls the handbrake too much and kills his wheel speed and letting the car straighten out. Practicing left foot braking during seat time might show big results :P Seriously killing it Jimmy hope fully we get to see more driving this season and maybe some tandems with Brian's LS e46 O.o

someone needs to take Jimmy's e brake from him and send him out on some laps and let the car dance. so much smoother when he doesn't use it much. can't have a show car as a drift car, drive it like you want to break it.
@abraham87722 жыл бұрын
Agreed but I think he just needs a drift car he doesn't give a fuck about cause this s13 means a lot to him, I think be should just park it. Built a dedicated S chassis for drifting that he doesn't really car for

James, I think you need, unfortunately, another car your not afraid to wreck. The coupe is amazing and a near perfect missile but I feel like your always going to worry about bumping the guy in front of you or someone clipping you from behind. You've put so much love and effort into that car i get it's kinda like Adam's s13. Now it's at the point it feels your being too careful. Need the Z up here to just send it, or anything your comfortable sending and it possibly not being fixable.....I feel like you absolutely have the skill and alot of times seems if your the "natural" of the bunch but can't be timid out there!!
