What you said at 7:15 is EXACTLY how it feels to drift these chassis stock, you need to power through every drift. And because there is no "drift pocket" like you said, you have to drift left to right rather than just flicking the car and transitioning in a relatively straight line. But as soon as someone figures that out they're set to absolutely rip these things!

at 13:10 for the first gens there is a cheap "electric power steering controller kit" that basically gives you adjustable 'force feedback'. it's very similar to what wisefab just released but it's like $70ish on ebay! :)

I put one on mine early this year, works pretty good. I keep mine on the "stiffest" setting for most driving, but it's nice to be able to set it to the "softest" setting for maneuvering low speed, tight spots.

Jimmy: in the brz you can turn off the belt chime, KOEO, you have 30 seconds to click and un click the seatbelt 20times. The seatbelt light should turn on and off each time you click and un click. If you do it right the chime turns off.

I told my s chassis friend this is the new s chassis! You said it yourself these are the new chassis. I personally loves s chassis had 3. But as life comes I never got back then price jumped. I never found a car close to feel since to s chassis. Miata,is300,sc, 3 series, wrx. Got this brz I just loved it. Granted I bought a shell and now 2j swap it’s a beast. Love it and I want more lol. One ka swap one ls swap and one stock drivetrain. Come on high Mile frs are like 6k with coilover and wheels. Can’t beat that.

As a new Gen owner that also has a old Gen, drifting it’s night and day! Best car I’ve drifted. Knuckles, tie rods and a seat is all you need! Gt86 I ran a 215 at 35psi. My gr86 it’s on a 235 at 15psi hot and actually keeps up with most sr20 a chassis’s

I've rebuilt a fa24 and i can confirm that there was a lot of RTV, some was even touching the camshafts I definitely recommend cleaning the pick up tube, if you want to take it completely off you have to take the timing chain cover off and you'll find 2 bolts holding it. Not necessary to clean it though

And removing the timing cover in the car is possible there's enough room, but it's a pain. it's held in by more than 30 bolts and you'll have to clean the surface (which always has oil dripping), redo your own rtv gasket and empty the AC fluid
