Fun fact “window glue” is a liquid form of polyurethane, you can make your own poly bushings with it and it will stick literally anything to anything!

​@@rowaldwousie5289 I used window glue for filling empty spaces in gearbox mounts, engines mounts, exhaust hangers, subframe bushings, etc. Basically for anything rubber with holes. It makes these parts behave exactly like the original part, but they last 4 times longer and can really take a beating if needed. Can't recommend enough. Unlike poly bushings it doesn't make it transfer any more vibrations. P.S. Yes, I am Polish.

In the UK we would call the wheel widening method as banding the wheels. The window glue looks similar to Tiger Seal in the UK

In the u.k./Europe those type of wheels are known as banded steel wheels/steels. Those particular wheels are fairly common in the uk and known as Vauxhall insignia steel wheels the base model had them with a plastic wheel trim. They also do a 16” version of the 17” type fitted to your car. They are 5x120 and as said the centre bore needs opening up a fair bit on a lathe/milling machine.

I used to seal my wire wheels on my lowrider the same way. They have a rubber seal but over time it still leaks from the spokes. If you use the window glue it will seal every time.
