Jimmy! I just found this series and I'm so damn happy. I have a SR250 that runs but needs some love. I want to turn it into either a cafe racer or a scrambler and your videos are going to make it sooo much less painful to accomplish that. First time motorcycle owner, got the bike for free and not really sure what I'm doing, so thanks very much for sharing your passion and skill with a newbie. You Rock! Kelsey

Hey, Kelsey, thanks so much for the kinds words and congrats on the SR250 - you're gonna love it! I'd say to just take your time and enjoy the process of learning as you fix it up. The learning is half the fun and the riding is the other half!

brother, I have the exact same bike that is a wreck and was given to me by my youth pastor. Same story here.

Love what you done with your sr250! I used bars off of a buell cyclone. Thank goodness my tank is still good but if it ever gets bad you gave me direction. Still cruising mine around south eastern Ohio

Many older japanese bikes use special JIS screws that need a JIS screwdriver. Philips bit screwdrivers will damage the screws because they don't get complete contact.

Yo jimmy! I just stumbled across this build/service series. I've been looking for an sr250/500 for about a year now. They seem to be kind of hard to find in decent shape up here in the northeast US. Keep up the great work! I love the videos.

Shade_Runner343 Thanks a bunch, I’m glad you like them! The SRs are definitely dwindling in number around here but 3-4 times a year one in workable shape will pop up on craigslist. They really are such cool, simple bikes. My hope is to throw on a windshield and ride it a few times this winter, too. Here in Ohio that’s borderline possible, so we’ll see. Hey, good luck in your search for a bike!

Where are you located? I got one in Massachusetts a year back for fairly cheap.

great job... the best clear coat to use is the "OH MY" 2k clear from BuyCustomPaint.com . it goes on like glass and you dont have to buff it... definitely worth checking out...

I do have one beef with this series. The music is out of place just put in the video audio, most of us don’t care about having to hear a lawnmower or weed walker.
