The thing is, when I think of triple-A, I think of AAA batteries, which are probably some of the weaker batteries out there. In fact there is actually AAAA batteries which have even less power. Which is, ironically, exactly what any $70 game listed here exactly is.
@ladyabaxa9 ай бұрын
Less power and also smaller making AAAA batteries a rather apt comparison to so many games released today. A bit unfair to the batteries as they serve useful functions whereas the games in question serve only to fleece buyers for corporate profit. Also AAAA batteries are harder to find - I was never able to find them in a retail store when I needed them and had to order them online - but crap games are getting more common.
@badflamer9 ай бұрын
@@ladyabaxa yeah, kinda ends up with the same problem as 'snake oil salesman'. lack of context makes a modern ear think that snake oil is a euphemism for a shoddy product, but it actually does have medicinal applications that made it useful in balms in centuries past. The problem is that getting it was incredibly difficult, and few people could verify its authenticity, so the sellers of snake oil would very often be selling fully counterfeit products. The monicker was used not to refer to someone who convinces you that something useless is in fact useful, but rather someone who sells something useless under the guise that it is a genuinely useful thing.
