Up to now it has been a good game with no crypto, but an article came out indicating there are plans to add crypto to the game and the community was understandably mostly pissed; some of our biggest members quit and sold their collections already. The promised crypto implementation is still some ways from rolling out, so some of us have adopted a wait-and-see approach. Might be an interesting case study to keep an eye on as it doesn't follow the typical crypto-game paradigm (there is already a good game established and the crypto comes later). The redeeming factor of steam over epic is the reviews that can warn people of the scams

And even if the reviews are blatantly astroturfed, someone can still look at that and say "Wait a minute, something's not right here" and avoid getting scammed.

Yeah, that's basically my opinion too. Between Valve's requirements not to integrate the crypto side of things into steam, and the user reviews, allows people to be educated about the trash so they can click 'next' in their discovery queue. @douglassun84566 ай бұрын
I know Jauwn says it's licensed, but are we sure of that? It wouldn't be hard for them to use unauthorized fan art in the game. This is a crypto game; I wouldn't assume that the devs would have any scruples about IP, just as they have no scruples about much of anything.
@shiftfire45116 ай бұрын
Well, thankfully it probably isn't an *exclusive* license. Considering Invader Zim and SpongeBob both have been in titles very recently that is *definitely* not connected to these guys, we could still see a modern Invader Zim game without a connection to these guys. I imagine the Zim license was rather cheap, though. It's been five years since Enter the Florpus released, that and Zim's inclusion in Nicktoon crossover titles are basically the only thing they've done since 2006. thanks for putting captions in this video, i don't really like using the youtube autogenerated captions. if i have one critique though, i wish the sentences weren't split in multiple captions, it's a little difficult to read. but still, thank you for the captions. many youtubers don't bother with them, and i'm left with the cumbersome autogenerated captions.

I would like to recommend some crypto games you haven't review so far and are (or were) somewhat popular: Mir4 and Ni no Kuni Crossworlds, both are RPGs, idle/grindy/auto type RPG (like Black Desert). Mir4 was meh, Ni No Kuni was visually impressive, sad they had to use that IP for crypto BS
@darkunykorn4046 ай бұрын
Ni No Kumi went crypto? Well that's even more disappointing
@stmh96606 ай бұрын
@@darkunykorn404 yes, for that game specifically, I don't remember what was the use the 2 tokens had within the game, I played it and grinded to level 70 and had a decent build and never had to use said tokens nor spend a dime on it, still not the ni no kuni experience you would expect. I'm not even sure what's the state of the game nowadays, I suppose it's still available for PC and android, it's free and if I remember correctly less than 15GB. I personally think it's worth a try if you like grindy and gacha MMORPGs, nothing is lost by trying it out
@darkunykorn4046 ай бұрын
@@stmh9660 I have played it in the past actually! I love the aesthetics but the fact it was autoplay kind of turned me off a little. But I'm glad to hear the crypto didn't ruin the game (at least not too much), even though I don't play it anymore it was a cute little experience nonetheless
@omerhikmetarslan84246 ай бұрын
17:19 It really hurts me when some of these "games" have (somehow) found a good idea and proceeded to ruin it. A battle royale where you force players to engage with each other not due to a shrinking safe-zone but steal each other's time like in the film triggered might've actually been an interesting idea.

I'm liking the new production value that you're putting into the video! Though at least to me, the leap of some of the stuff is a bit jarring, at least enough that I for once thought of leaving a comment. I'm more of a fan of watching a video where it's 'a guy talking about stuff' which most of the other videos are like and most of this video is. It's mostly the intro that put me off a little. I do like some of the choices you made like the background music not making everything sound so silent and showing what song started playing.
@jauwn6 ай бұрын
it's all in the pursuit of exploring my creative abilities and editing powers, so some of it will be rough as i only improve over time. i appreciate the feedback though, i view the intros as my own way to express myself and make my videos unique though and definitely some people will be put off by it. Just the risk i take
