Thank you so much for this guide. I'm completely new to Tekken and this helped me loads in getting to understand the game along with how Jin's basics work. I'll use your video as a reference in order to get a better grasp on him. I also feel like you should apolgise less. The way you came up with some combo's was insane. You're also very chill and I've got no trouble in understanding you. Fairly certain most other people agree with me on the fact your tutorial is grand. Keep up the good work!

Most optimal combo off of all launchers (ws2, ff3, eCD1, u/f+1, cds 1+2, and can can (d+3+4) are the most common) except for ewgf and hellsweep is: b3, b3~f (the f enters cds, makes the move one frame faster and lowers the hitbox) 1, 4 (S!) then dash in to b3~f 1, 2.

I'm really digging this channel, as a person just now getting into Tekken. Anyone any suggestions for other great Tekken channels as well? I wanna see it all.
@FyuyuR7 жыл бұрын
You might know them already but I'm gonna suggest TheMainManSWE, very known Tekken player that specialized in the Mishima characters but still has very deep knowledge about the game. Quality gameplay on his channel.He also does tutorials, I recommend his "how do we fight [...]" videos, but you'll enjoy his content the most when you're more familiar with Tekken.: When it comes to tutorials/tips/discussions (with a hilarious guy that looks like Hagrid btw), definitely check out Avoiding the Puddle (Aris) He also plays other fighting games.. Finally for combo samples you should check out HurtboxTV, he did a lot of combo videos for many characters and they were very accessible and not TOO execution heavy for Tekken Tag 2 and I believe he's started to do the same for T7. Good luck in your Tekken journey :)

I'm also a noob so if I can't do electrics consistently should I abandon mishimas? I play asuka otherwise but im a big fan of jins kit. I'm worried I'm missing out on large punishes off of i14 ewgf that is necessary for the character to shine.
@wombatcop22687 жыл бұрын
YoYoNinjaBoy u need electrics to punish certain moves fast, but it isn't necessary. compared to devil, kaz, and heiachi, Jin isn't super dependent on hitting electrics because his mixup off of crouch dash isn't as strong as the other mishimas

you're not a main (me neither ^^') so you forgot to show some "secret move" some move can be instanly followed by mental awarness ( the move when you can 1 2 or 1+2 or 3 or 4) here's the move if that can help : f+4 > b+3 > when you lift 1 2 > d+f 3 3 > i found them pretty use full mostly f+4 if you counter attack and break his balls you can follow with a combo with 1 or 3 :) i'm french so sry if people don't understand :s

King Jae Actually as a jin main myself the stance is needed if you want to get good with jin because a lot of his combos have to do with his stance plus I used to have an issue with using the ewgf so I usually do the stance then crouch dash and then use the god fist move I dont always get it but when I do I feel very satisfied but i've also picked up on Kazuya as well.

Would you say that Jin doesn't rely on electrics as much as the mishima characters do? As I have trouble consistently getting out electrics.

The other mishimas don't necessarily RELY on it, but Jin does rely a lot on his crouch dash options, EWGF included.

Funny how that I pick nearly every low tier character but I can pull off more successful combos with Jin. Then again, the movelist for jin was full of a bunch of 4 to five hit combos so I can't really say much since I am still shit on juggling a opponent and need to work on defending. EDIT: Good tutorial though.

db2,2,3 does the most dmg among one string enders I've tried. 3+4 does good dmg as well and it looks so damn cool. You can also tailwhip straight into RA. You can also extend your juggle with a b2,1 but you need follow up with a dash as it sends the opponent farther away.
