Storyline: Jin is from another planet and his spaceship destroyed and got trapped in Earth. He wants to go back to his world and trying hard. The beam of light represent that there is a hope that he can escape from here. On meantime he gets closer to the girl, who represents army and teaches her to learn how to ride the bicycle and he is proud of her which shows symbolically shows that he is teaching armys to stand by themselves when he leaves. At the end of the video his spaceship get fixed but he decides to stay here with that girl which he thinks as his only family also even though she learned how to ride the bicycle but still waits for him to come out just like how we are doing right now. I cried when i realize the storyline😫 Also Jin has a braille tattooed on his neck which means ARMY and the puzzle also shows a braille which says FOR ARMY😭😭😭

I think this song means a lot to ARMY and Jin himself too. He is one of BTS members that did not intend to start a music career in first place. Joining the BTS and becoming a singer is just like following the flow, drifting along an unknown journey for him. He is just like an astronaut , going to an unknown place to explore and follow his mission. But he did not expect this unknown mission would become so big and so meaningful and precious to him. When BTS just started and they were still not famous, they were / he was like a passerby to people bumping into them/ him. That little girl is a symbolism of ARMY. He found that girl and they built a connection that he feels like home, feels like family, a cozy family. (the words appeared on the crosswords). It’s a very beautifully written song and Jin really puts a lot of meaning into the lyrics and the music video too. Thank you so much Jin for bringing us such a meaningful song before the military enlistment. ARMY will definitely wait for you.💜

In my interpretation the MV’s story is that: Jin was an alien astronaut that crash landed on earth in the opening scene. And since his ship was damaged, he had to live on earth for a while and befriended a little girl in the neighborhood. But one day, after the ship has completed repairing itself a beam of light appears , he planned to go back to the crash site and dressed up in a black suit to go. He meets the little girl on his way out so he gives his helmet to her for her to remember him by. but along the way he starts remembering the sweet moments with his friend and even the drawings she did showing him "home" on earth so in the end he decides not to go on the spaceship and hurry back home to the little girl instead that he now considers as family. In the last scene we hear the little girl's bike bells calling him to go out and play.

Jin said on his vlive yesterday they decided on enlisting in 2020. I read somewhere on twitter that the storyline of the MV is about Jin who is stranded on earth because the spaceship is not working. He finds the little girl which symbolizes the army and he became close to the little girl. And when the space is working again he didn't want to leave the earth because his first thought is going back to the little girl which is his "home"

Based on Twitter Armys, this feels like a reassurance that he will be back no matter what because we are his home! Some interpretations: 1st scene: Jin looking over his crashed spaceship. It means he landed to earth at that time he still doesn’t view it as his home, he was foreign, isolated and alone that explains the lack of facial expression. After that he tried not to feel attached to his so called “family” that took him in which armys guessed was the little girl because he planned on waiting for his ship to be restored and then leave, he had no plan of staying. But then he found out that home was were he was already in, through the little kid ( which may have represented army and BTS) he found his way, his purpose, he got attached, learnt how to care and love. So the end scene where he was running away from the spaceship signifies him running back and staying on earth where his loved ones are. There were a lot of theories but the majority was what I summarised 🥹

I love this MV so much as it captures everything what jin and what his daily life is about and shows us armys that whenever he leaves home it's the first thing he misses. The MV was about Jin being an alien/astronaut who is from different planet. He helped her (them) grow up and in return the lil girl (they) taught him how to be a human (he smiled for the first time when he cheered for the girl). While living here, he met the little girl (Army) and learned and experienced many things with her. He doesn't show emotion to the girl as we can see on the mv that he is not smiling as he portrays an alien that doesn't have any emotions. But after spending time with the girl, he slowly showing and having emotion. He teaches the girl (Army) to ride a bike so that he'll know that ARMY WILL BE OKAY WITHOUT HIM SOMEDAY. I thought the same thing when I saw him running...he told her that he jogged for about ten minutes, which would make sense! Also, that was Chris Martin as the anchorman on the TV in Jin's room. There are sooo many details in this MV that mostly only armys will be able to notice/understand and here are a few that really stands out. I hope it helps you guys understand why it is such an emotional one for the fandom. - There are many other BTS MVs where they used a small girl to represent the fandom so the girl here represents the fandom, ARMY. - She's wearing a purple helmet in a later shot(purple is the official colour of the fandom) It was black first because purple was never a special colour to the fandom until after a few years of their debut when Taehyung gave it a meaning. So it kind of signifies and captures a small detail of the timeline of BTS and ARMY, in a sense. - They chose a girl who is around 9-10 years old because it's the same as ARMYS age; the fandom was formed around 10 years back. -If you look closely there is a braille tattoo on his neck and it reads "ARMY" - The suit Jin wears at the beginning of the MV resembles the one he wore to the first day of school in real life (there is a photo of 4-year-old him wearing a suit that looks exactly like that) The kid's drawing on the wall shows him wearing the same suit once again. It's basically to show his past and innocence, reminiscence of his lyrics from "Yet to come": "Somewhere deep inside your heart, there still lives a young boy" - Chris Martin makes a cameo in the MV as the news reporter reading the news - The blackened-out spaces on the crossword (in braille) reads "For ARMY" - The guitar you see in his room is the same guitar Chris Martin signed and gifted Jin when they met. - If you notice when he was on the street people ignored him but the "astronaut" caught his attention. Jin was cast on the streets randomly by a Bighit staff who saw him get off the bus. He never intended to be a kpop-idol and never auditioned. So the astronaut here could represent the company itself who found him literally on the street one day. - The shot of his room has elements that represent all BTS members - Books = Namjoon, Guitar = Yoongi, Instant camera = Jhope, Flowerpot (like his "serendipity" bubble) = Jimin, Vinyl player/Boston bag= Taehyung, Speaker/Radio = Jungkook) They're all there, close to him. - The pickup truck has a lot of meaning because it has appeared in many of their past MV that's connected to the BU ( Love Yourself Highlight reels, the HYYH era) In those MVs, it was Jin who used to drive the boys around in a black pick up truck ; it symbolises the time they cherished together and their memories. In this case, it was a pick up truck (reminiscence of the ones in their MV) that finally stopped and took him "home" In a way, Jin was like a lost astronaut that happened to crash land on earth which was unfamiliar to him just like how he ended up as a part of BTS without ever dreaming for such a path. It was unfamiliar and he was unsure about it (that was the reason why he had a stoic expression most of the time) until he met the little girl (army) who cherished him and to whom he taught things only to realise later how they both made each other happy. He realised home was where his "family" is ; his family comprising of his 6 brothers and ARMYs. Towards the end, Jin looks hopeful and eager as he hears the sound of the bicycle bell which indicates that the little girl(army) is waiting right outside (fun fact: the first option for the fandom name they had was "bells" and they later changed it to ARMY) ; that when he returns back from the military, army will be waiting for him. These are just a few but there are soo many other details. I hope you react to his LIVE performance too (You must listen to the speech Chris Martin gave before the actual performance. It's emotional but beautiful all at the same time

I read on twitter/KZbin, that Seokjin is the alien. And his ship crashed at the being. Then you see him in a house trying to solve a crossword puzzle, and he wants to go back home. But while he traveling to we’re his ship is to go home. He keeps remembering the little girl(ARMY), the memories they made together. The bike scene where Jin helping the little girl(ARMY) ride the bike, I think he’s saying it’s going to be okay I will always be will you. The little girl is Army. It is a love song for Army. He has even said so. He is an alien thrown in to this life, drifting into a life he dosen't really belong to. He realize through his interaction with the little girl (Army) that this is his home/ his found family and he dosen't want to leave. He is going away but he is smiling because he now know where he belongs. And to reasure us in the last scene he is back home where he solve the puzzle and find the last piece which is " Family", he smiles and hear the ring from the little girls bike ( Army ) to come out and play again. So he is saying goodbye and see you soon - and a giant love declaration by saying I Love You! To all Army. I cried so much during this MV - such a honest and beautiful song.

Story is Chris Martin was writing this new song not complete but was already writing it for his Music Of The Spheres concept when he got a call from Jin explaining he would be going away to serve in the military and want Chris help him write a song that expressed his gratitude to his fans and showing his love and will be in thought while away and the most marvelous thing happened Chris offered up his unfinished song which clearly you can tell its his vibe but the fact Chris did this, his never given away or sold their music but was good with BTS recording a cold play song and even having them a whole team collaborate on My universe again another sound of the sphere concept. the biggest gift was Chris gifting Jin his song that would end up being co written to add the hook knowing what Jin's purpose of the song was EXPRESSING LOVE the songs whole meaning is already explained so don't hurt your minds overthrowing it just look it up and also Chris knowing 6 months ago that Jin was going to serve before anyone in the public and kept his secret that was just Awsome...A very good respectable and loving friendship..We Army appreciate Coldplay family especially Chris for being open minded.
