@ I hope others will understand the changes to her design as well, because it truly is a big upgrade to her G1 design in my opinion. It just seems more culturally accurate, which is a huge win for me!

I wonder why they didn't change her name since she's no longer a fire breathing dragon and jin mean gold. I also think the redesign lacks scales and a pair of horn or antlers to really read as chinese dragon without the context of her clothes. Her clothes are the best part, the skirt seems really high quality with the woven patern and the construction of the jacket is great and nice change from the usual letterman jacket. Her yakult yogourt is really cute too.

Yet they tried to say they changed Frankie to blue because she did not test well with their prime audience, well how the heck did Jin and Ghoulia get away with mint green skin then and through the test groups??? ESP Jinafire who is a complete trainwreck, honestly. Plus to be so lazy to glur ears on, so disgusting #Mattel !

Frankie being blue isn't about test (Universal has rights to green Frankenmonsters). Jinafire and Ghoulia are Mattel's products and they have rights to both of them, so they can do whatever they want tbh. Changes are made by design team who later test their ideas and simply choose best color options. In my opinion Jina is gorgeous, but they somehow destroyed Ghoulia's color palette. About ears... yup, it's lazy, but at the same time nobody have any issues with them - they don't get destroyed after boilwash or reroot~
