I lived in Jinan. You can see Jinan photos at cityofsprings.wordpress.com. People of Qingdao don't think much of Jinan. People are nice there and so's the food.

There is a lot of green in Jinan. A poem describes this city : 四面荷花三面柳，一城山色半城湖. It means the city is surrounded with flowers and trees. The scenery of hills and hot springs is nice.

I treat Jinan as my "Chinese hometown" and an old friend used to call me "lao Jinan" because I knew my way around the city fairly well after a few years. I watched Parc66 being built and so many other places...

In history Jinan was most famous for being the source of the Bantu Spring (趵突泉), which the Qianlong Emperor said was the best water in the whole of China!

They say the population in China is aging fast but in your videos and others I watched I saw a huge amount of young people. I didn't see even one old person in this video. Also, there are many beautiful spots around Jinan, like Five Dragons Pool and Spring City Square and others.. You should do some exploring.

as a qingdao native living overseas, i remember those days of having to stop at jinan every time when i take the high speed rail to most other major cities in china including beijing and shanghai. ive also traveled extensively in jinan as well 15 years ago. it has amazing food, culture, and rich history. now, as you shown in the video, it looks like everything changed so much there as i could no longer recognize the place haha

My wife comes from Jinan and we've been going there every years since 2002. Check out Baotu Springs, 1000 Bhudda mountain, Parc 6 shopping mall and food court. Hero Mountain Park (near us) Daming Lake, the Shandong museum with the biggest dinosaur skeleton. Hope to goo next year 2023. Great video.

Pity for missing the livestream of my hometown. This is the place where I grew up and also get my phd. Thank you for introducing it to the world. Greeting from Paris. I want to explain two things here. Around 5:00, the street Jerry was looking at is Furong Street, one of the most famous streets in Jinan. It's now a food street while also contains some hand-made workshops, a Confucious temple and a Guandi temple. Though, the street is quite narrow that the police have to restrict the number of visitors and keep order there. Another thing is about Jinan's spring. It's not hot spring. The temperature keeps around 16 degree during the year. The weather in Jinan is not quite nice, temperature varies from -20 to 40 degree during the whole year. So residents in Jinan like to enjoy coolness near the springs in summer and some like winterswimming.

JiNan is one of longest history city of China, although the appearance of city maybe not beautiful as Qingdao, while it beaded too much culture of China, you should stay there long time if you want to understand more about real Chinese culture. Qingdao is a economic city in ShanDong, while JiNan is a political and cultural/ secince city. Whole ShanDong is place of origin of Chinese culture, it's the believe foundation of Chinese culture, so you will become a real Chinese expert on Chinese culture if you understand ShanDong.

Qingdao and Jinan are two big cities in Shandong but dislike each other. Jinan is the capital of Shandong province. They think that Jinan should lead Qingdao, but Qingdao is Shandong’s economic leader, and Qingdao people think that Qingdao is limited by Shandong. So we always quarrel with each other, online. But to be honest, as a Jinan local, I feel that Jinan is not as good as Qingdao
