Jinbao OS KO Warbotron combined (3P Bruticus) + Updates - GotBot True Review NUMBER 699

This time I look at the Jinbao oversize knock-off of Warbotron combined, their take on the Transformers Decepticon Combaticon Bruticus gestalt, as well as, a few updates to a couple of the individual characters! In terms of the combiner's coloring, he is mostly accurate with muted, militaristic tones. It suits him well. The head is detailed but also quite stylized for the intended character. The conversion is quite intuitive and logical. Whirlwind may, arguably, be the most challenging. The articulation is acceptable, but stronger ratchets forward and back at the hips would have helped a little bit, as would a slightly wider outward rang of motion at the shoulders. As for the updates, I cover an alternate conversion for the chest of Sly Strike (Swindle) and point out a couple of features I missed for Fierce Attack (Onslaught). Enjoyed that! I do think he makes a nice Bruticus for the amount of money involved. It's funny- I tested my Jinbao and original Warbotron not-Brawls after seeing what you said there. Most of my Jinbao set have been pretty flimsy, as I mentioned before, but the arms' ability to stay up seems to be the one thing I did get a good QC one on... my Heavy Noisy (both Jinbao and Warbotron) both seem to be able to hold their arms up to the side, even holding a weapon (for once, it's actually my Warbotron that seems to have the most difficulty staying up while holding a weapon). Thanks for the video- gives me some things to remember when I decide to tackle Bruticus myself.

The head I think was a result of the transformation method. Hopefully someone out there will do up 3D printable CAB files for upgraded ratchets if that's possible

It has no place because the scale fits nothing and I already have a Bruticus. Ergo, I think it's terrific but it personally makes no sense in my collection.

Fantastic detailed reviews of all figures and making my decision to purchase this guy. I've been going back and forth for two months to either get him or the other Jin Bao combiner of Devastator. For that kind of purchase I'm really taking my time and weighing all the factors it's a hard decision and it's very close. It'a a KO of a third party product so it is bound to have some flaws. But for the value, considering what it is, those flaw can be overlooked...

We are doing excellent, thank you for asking Qe hermit away really well and like being home. This is letting me catch up on things for the channel. In my province, we have successfully flattened the curve by social distancing and self isolating, like health officials the world over say. Three days, zero new cases and only 60 total active. I don't get protests and open beaches and stuff. Do what the doctors say and, yep, it works. We still have weeks yet to pass the incubation period but, hopefully, things keep going in the right direction. Hope you and yours are being safe in these times. As for this big lad, if you like the size, even with a few nitpicks here and there, he is undeniably great value for money.

I have not sadly been able to do the comparison to the actual one. I do know the regular is 15 in he's and this one is 18 or so.

Great review on KO Bruticus, now out of curiosity would he Technically be in scale with Devastator, I'm thinking because of the G1 episode when they first had him face off against him, in other words, do you feel that all the combiners should have been made into Titan class like Devastator to keep in scale?

I think none should be titan. CW is ideal scale based on logic. Combiners are not titans.

@@DennisMoultonAKAGotBot Whats crazy is that G1 Devastator is scale with Siege Optimus Prime and all the Combiners should have been like that, they should have categorized Devastator as Combiner and made the Titans a bit more larger, but pricing obviously would hit all in that aspect, pinching pockets and affecting Quality in the product to try to cater to the consumers wallets. Plus imagine a 6 Foot tall Unicron, that would take up some space in the house, lol

Devy is a bit smaller than Omega and Omega is nowhere close to Metroplex. CW is about as ideal as reasonably possible. To each their own but yeah, anything bigger makes no sense to me.

@@DennisMoultonAKAGotBot Yeah, not sure what Hasbro was thinking when they decided to make Devastator a Titan size figure when all the other CW combiners are only a foot tall. As a result, I never picked him up. I've never been a fan of the G1 style head on Devastator also. I guess he's ok for maybe an MP scale Devastator but the Jinbao OS Gravity Builder is a much better MP scale Devastator. I liked the green version so much. I got the yellow one too. I have TFC's Hercules and Maketoys Green Giant to use as CHUG scale combiners.

Agreed. I see a couple things that could be improved but the cost value analysis still weighs heavily on it being worth its weight, so to speak. There is a 3d hip skirt, chest, head upgrade file that can be downloaded, painted and printed.

Nice. Thanks for a fantastic look at this set. I think I like the main bot the best in both of the modes personally. and the finished product looks great too. Honestly ..he looks bulky in combined mode and hard to pose. I say that because although he had solid joints ..getting him there is a chore. I know this because I'm watching you fight with it showing off the articulation. I agree with the end resulting score completely.

Should I get this guy, since i was a kid I was always fascinated with bruticus. Not only was he imposing villain , he looked awesome. I think I will buy the jinbao oversized version in a couple days. No idea about shipping. Depends where you live. He is quite hefty and weighty actually. The ratchets on this copy were pretty good. The Hips could be a touch better but, you really can't beat the value for money.

This entire set looks great. I'm not entirely a fan of the oversized squad, but, Jinbao's "Robot" (Bruticus), "Into the Sky" (Predaking), & "Builder.D" (Devastator) are all *VERY* enticing options. Of course, I'd need to pull some wizardry and find either the KuBianBao or Yes Model KOs of MP11 Starscream (since the Maketoys "Howling Meteor" goes for stupid high prices) and the Open & Play "Big Cannon" (Galvatron) to go with the big Bruticus & Predaking... And this is despite my preference of the Combiner Wars Bruticus (with Shuttle Blastoff & the Transform Dream Wave upgrade kit that I need to finish installing), the Cool Become Brave downsized KO of CW Devastator, and...my other CW/PotP Combiners. (And steadily waiting & hoping for a downsized KO of PotP Predaking...maybe then the design won't suck so much, as was the case with Devy. (Besides... I'm not keen on the looks of Unique Toys "Warlord" or TFC "Ares", and MMC's "Feral Rex" just costs way too much even now.)

I tend to agree with you across the board there. The biggest thing are the size differences. I would be down for a downsized Predaking. I have Warlird but I do thi k Predaking was a huge success. That said, my Warlord was a complete set and only about 20 bucks Canadian over what I would pay for a CW combiner. It was a Christmas gift to myself lol a few years ago.

Bigger isn't always better, because the square cube law doesn't like to be friendly with articulations at this scale.
