Nice tutorial. I used to play guitar for Bobby. His son Rob was our drummer. This was back in Martinsville, Indiana. Good times.

Perfect lesson. Way to dumb it down for a truly intermediate guitar player without being too monotonous. Keep up the good work and thanks.

Bobby Helm's was a neighbor of mine when I was a kid and later in my life Bobby opened a nightclub that I used to go to, The club was at 34th and Arlington Ave in Indianapolis

@12footchain I was very young, this would have been around 1959 or 60, I was born in 53, I mostly remember him always being gone so I assume he was on the road playing his music, but later when he opened the Bobby Helm's club he always greeted me very friendly, telling me he remembers me but I don't think he really did he was just a very nice man

I've been playing since I was 11, and I'm 53 now. I wanted to learn because my dad was an amazing guitar player, not because I truly loved it. I've put it down and picked it up a lot over the years, so I'm intermediate at best. I've always loved this song. You've inspired me to learn it! I'll probably be ready to play it next Christmas. Great tutorial, thank you very much!! ❤

There use to be a TV program back in the 60's called " Here Come The 70's " It promoted the idea that most people would fly around with jet packs , mono rail trains would replace cars ... Nothing much has changed except for cell phones , home computers . A toaster is still a toaster . Great lessons ..., please do some Robin Trower mid 1970's ... On the original 1957 recording, Hank Garland would've been playing his Gibson Byrdland with the Charlie Christian pickup at the neck and the P-90 pickup at the bridge. Incase anyone was curious.

Merry Christmas Doug & everyone. From Les's hometown. The Mrs. heard me learning Wildflowers & said "that sounds beautiful" ! (Ovation acoustic) Bonus...I usually get -" it's too loud". Then i just repeat what i saw on the old 80's band Autograph, bumper stickers (remember those, lol ?) "If it's too loud - you're too old" & she is 5 years younger than me. 🙂

Nice! But way too complicated for me to learn. I am an ok rock, metal , and country guitar player, but this is chet atkins style jazz for advanced players. You even have the same guitar as his. How did these early electric guitarists have such extensive chordeology?✨
@boblittle252922 күн бұрын
I'm pausing and playing. So you first hit that A aug (pause) "Ah. The Beatles" I say to myself. (play) 20 seconds later you say "John Lennon played that all over the place". "Yes!" I shout at the screen". Virtual fist bump.
