Fiona is bloody amazing. She was clearly the head of this stream and she worked well with Bouph and Big Lyds. Also, ayone capable of using a knife sharpener (the.... rod kind) is an amazing person.

The rod kind is most often a honing steel, not a sharpener, honing and sharpening are actually different things :)

To continue where the guinea pig left off. (most) honing rods straightens out the edges which are kinda like a row of teeth that gradually get bent out to all sides and dulls the blade. A diamond honing rod however does sharpen aswell (and can just as easily destroy a good edge) my buddy in cooking school messed a razor sharp knife up in seconds handling a diamond honing rod wrong. But aye generally sharpening is done with whetstones of 2 different level of coarseness. Free blade lecture from a viking! You're welcome, stranger on the internet!

This was a great stream. Never seen YogCats so effectively herded, and I got some good cooking inspiration from this. I’ve used many fats in my roast potatoes, but never goose. Kind of tempted to try and find some, or to roast a goose (still have a spare turkey in the freezer tho). Also, heartily approved of all those vegetables; parsnips rule.

Still one of the single greatest streams the Yogs have ever produced, just under a year-and-a-half later. It's always great to see a spotlight on less-known members, and Fiona absolutely deserves it and then some. Hopefully we can see them on the main channel again soon, because the TTT episodes they were in were absolute gold.

I'm glad this was an all female stream. They need to sharpen those knives. Dull knives are dangerous as you use more pressure to do stuff, meaning your more likely to mess up and/or hurt yourself.

By the way, Bouphe, scientific study has shown that people's mobile phones are typically way more germ-infested than the average toilet. Exactly because no-one really thinks of it in those terms and just carries their phone around everywhere, pulling it out when they're cooking (perhaps to set a timer, if not calling anybody), on the toilet, outdoors, in public areas and then often pass it around amongst people... you get the gist. Whilst, of course, you can't properly wash the damn things - like throwing them in a bowl of soap and water - because they'd obviously break. So mobile phones get, at best, a wipe down of the screen with a wipe or, more likely, absolutely no cleaning whatsoever. In a sense, it's such a germ vector, exactly because no-one thinks of it. Like, you'll remember that you need to wash your hands after handling raw chicken and all that. But you just don't think when you reach into your pocket to pull out your mobile to call Mum. But, in hygiene terms, probably easily the worst thing ever. I mean, you carry that thing everywhere and when's the last time you gave it a clean with an anti-bacterial wipe? Yeah, very possibly the answer is "never". And even those who give their screens a wipe are usually just getting some built-up junk off the touchscreen and don't bother whatsoever with the back or taking it out of its case, if you've got one of those, to wipe down every part. Not having a go, though. This is the mistake that everyone makes. Who does differently? Absolutely no-one. Exactly because nobody thinks of it - to ever be bothered to sanitise them - whilst they're dragged everywhere (including the toilet) and pulled out all the time (after you've handled goodness knows what) is why mobiles are, on average, the most germ-infested thing you'll ever handle. Here ends my PSA for "remember, give your phones a proper wipe down every once in a while - every surface - or you're just transporting germs willy-nilly in all directions".

just because there are more germs (which is true) does not mean you are going to get sick from handling it. The micobials on your phone are ones which we regularly come into contact with and are not going to cause infection unless someone is severely immunocompromised, as opposed to the germs which are found in a toilet which are not normal to have on your skin or in your mouth.
