As a kid in the 60s and 70s, I listened to AM radio nonstop. It was a teenaged tragedy when we moved from Salt Lake City to a medium sized city in Texas. But I made it through because the jingles I sang along to there on KCPX were also on KLBK. I found solace in the familiar sounds. I keep looking for the exact ones and I know I will hear them again thanks to KZbin.

Gary thanks for doing this. As you know I went to Dallas around the time JAM first hit the air in big markets. I had a couple of group dinners with Jon and Mary Lyn and am so happy that today the jingle business is still in such great hands.

Excellent interview ... I was not aware that JAM bought PAMS and how that material can still be used today. Jon very succinctly explained the Jingle purpose and how we all associate the Jingle with our "Personal" experience of the radio media. Whether it is "C-FUN a-gogo channel 14" OR "KJR Seattle, Channel 95".....That stuff makes it OUR station. Look forward to more intriguing material RC

One of the best videos I have watched in years. Of course I am a jingle freak, and still have my Wolfert Sampler tapes. :) Jon cut "Contempo" from Pams Series 18 for me a couple of years ago for my oldies show.

The Art of the jingle explained by the professionals at Dallas Texas with Jon Wolfert JAMS and PAMS and radio station in Providence. My childhood and still the favorite channel 92 PRO-FM. I can spend hours and you could too on my favorite radio station. Win big money, food contest, and concerts. The other stations are just as interesting. And yes last year putting a metal rock WAAF on 107.3 RIP.
