I was there ,great performance as always. When Carlos was just getting started he contacted Bill Graham a few times asking for a chance to play the Fillmore. No responses. So one day he knew Graham was in his office on the second floor, then he climbed up the building and knocked on the window. Graham said that he realized this guy was serious and gave him a gig. It was obviously a good decision and Graham was a huge fan of Mongo,Tito,and Afro-Cuban jazz to begin with. Then Graham made sure Santana played Woodstock and the entire world got a introduction to one of the greatest ever. Carlos and Graham were very close until Graham was killed. RIP Bill Graham
