Jingse has a bad husband too right? So this is probably the moment she related to ruyi the most and understood that ruyi wasn't the reason her mother died. Her dad passed both empresses passed their limits.

She actually witnessed what her mom was going thru Ruyi eyes and the tyrant father .but unlike her birth mother, Ruyi fought back, and for that, she couldn't do anything but respect her for it.

Her mother was worse than the emperor . Nothing like Ruyi
Out of all the things she said, All he heard was Ling Yunche name! He didn’t even hear any thing else… like how scheming he was!

Exactly. That is how warped his mind was at that point. He didn't take a damn thing in except from Ling Yunche. He was a pathetic shell of a man by this point and there wasn't even a hint of the man that was intelligent from his younger days.He clearly expected to just insult her, slap her, maybe have her stand up and argue with him, perhaps slap her again and send her away, still able to keep torturing her. He sure didn't expect her to finally call it quits.

I thought the exact same way!!!! Narcissistic, but how else would an emperor be?!?!
Ruyi deserved so much better, she was completely devoted to the Emporer and went thru years of hell in the Cold Palace over being maliciously defamed, lied about, slandered and blamed for killing 2 concubines babies just to all to again one day reunited with him! The then Empress even caused her fertility problems that lasted a significant time even AFTER Ruyi became Empress. During Ruyi's journey to become Empress she had to constantly endure pain, humiliation, loneliness, sadness, constantly having to look over her shoulder, the murder of 2 of her children and a myraid of other things to clear her name, keep her name clear, preserve her dignity, uphold the laws/rites/traditions of the Emporer/Forbidden City, get revenge(or justice depending on your view)for her Aunt's death and for herself. Yet somehow despite all the pain and suffering Ruyi remained a kind, loving, unwaveringly loyal, selfless, wise, devoteed and dependable friend, confidante, Mother, wife, and Empress. **Yes, I am fully aware this is a highly fictionalized reimagining of the story of Ruyi because she is the legendary concubine was erased from history by the Emporer. So take my comment as the heroine of this story deserved better.**

That’s true. I keep telling myself, that if someone or some folks that is loyal to Ruyi, in some form, they would taken some action of preserving some form of information about her and bring it to some place that can keep it locked away in another country. Maybe in another universe that actually did happened. Then again, the show, does the best to the closest idea of what could possibly happen within the forbidden city, even though that, yes, it’s fictional. But it does give some of us, the actual basics ideas of what could had happened during Ruyi’s time in a drama and story format that captured the idea about her.

This is one of my most favourite scenes in the history of dramas and movies ♥️

It does leaves you of a “what idea we can make, from watching this show, over and over again. Even though it’s 90% fictional, with 10% of some form of true, idea and some minor sense, that could have happen within the forbidden city.” Even though the clothes are on point to what have been worn by the ladies and men’s within the forbidden city, it does make you wonder, if, and I do mean IF they left behind a hidden secret: a journal and written document. But this is my “IF” this could happen thoughts. Since anything about Ruyi, have been destroyed, the only thing we only know in minor details, is just when she married Hongli, three kids she borne, and the amount of years she been married to him and timing of her being step-empress.

He’s so hypocritical… he says he spent all his years following rules and decorum.. but what about his countless concubines and his wife 💀
@addykins1009 ай бұрын
He didn’t break any rules by having countless concubines etc…..as a matter of fact he would be breaking the rules by not having them. The Emperor is by no means perfect but we should not judge him by today’s standards.
@EnglishVirgo6 ай бұрын
Yes he is. He doesnt even think of taking into account how many people schemed again her. How many people literally tried to take her life. She had every right to be exhausted, but to him, only he was important.
