Very similar styling. I do not have the Jinhao. I have the Wing Sung 601a with the conical nib. Beautiful writer and easy to clean. The "Vacuumatic" pump system works very well. Great comparison, Garry Oxblood is my favorite red. I like that you used the same ink for both pens

Thanks. Whee possible I'm trying to use the same in both pens when doing the Showdowns. I'm finding it is making me easier to differentiate between the pens as the only variable then is the pen itself.

I have both and I prefer the WS 601 - in particular I like the 'Flightee' model (stainless steel).

I would have said, “Same here,” but I gave away the Jinhao and kept the Flighter.

If you don't like the nib, Bobby Pens (St PenPPS Ali Express, Office Supplies Pen, eBay) sells very nice replacement nibs. I'm nothing to do with them. I just can't afford expensive pens so I have to modify my Chinese ones. I know that the Wing Sung nib can easily be replaced. I think that the Jinhao one can be but I'm not positive. I love the colour of the Jinhao. They call it blue galaxy on a lot of pens and it's one of my favourites.

Thats one of the nice things with most of the Jinhao pens I have, easy to take apart for cleaning.

I thought about getting the 51 but ended up getting the Jinhao 911 EF. The pen looks nice but the nib writes like a medium/broad. I’d like to swap it out but not sure what size those small hooded nibs are or who sells them. Any recommendations would be welcome.

To be honest I've never tried to replace a hooded nib. Hopefully others will be able to comment.
