Vlad has been the drummer ever since Micro/Macro. It's when they exploded in popularity. His first video with them was PIsces.

If you're looking for live, I recommend Pit of Consciousness Live in Kiev. It's a real clinic on harsh vocal range, and a super-heavy, very progressive song. The official music video is excellent as well. Also super-heavy and very progressive is "Ape". It's a short piece which I consider to be one of Jinjer's pre-eminent "heavy jazz" songs. The 1st section especially gives me avant-garde jazz vibes because it has such a chaotic feel, & yet it is obviously very precisely planned & executed & not at all improvisational. Lyrically, Tatiana takes on the role of Mother Nature lamenting the fact that she has created this voracious, "bloodthirsty ape who walks upright". The song is only 3 1/2 minutes long, but it has 8 highly distinct sections with incredible transitions from section to section. I recommend the official music video, but the one-shot live is also excellent.

It’s always fun watching someone fall in love with Jinjer. No need to apologize. Lengthy reactions are always better in my book. Most of us have heard the song a hundred times over. We are here to hear what you think about it. So bring it on! Thank you! 😊

The drummer's name is Vlad Ulasevych since 2018. He's a classically trained pianist (look out for the video where he's playing parts of Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concert), and plays guitar and drums. He's a jazz drummer in metal. (Like Greyson in Sepultura now). Since his joining Vlad mostly composes the music, he has dozens of finished pieces in the drawer. The drummer in I Speak Astronomy is Dmitry Kim. Fantastic metal drummer. His tenure was planned being temporary, since their former drummer had an accident which paralysed him😢. You find Dmitry Kim in the recording credits, like for this release you have just watched, as he does recording and sound engineering.

Roman plays just a 6 string...but it's tuned to drop A, which is super low for a 6. Basically, it's a 7 string tuning minus a high string and the lowest string lowered another whole step from B to A.

Ever since Pisces Live Session it has been Vlad on drums. The former drummer was Dmitri Kim. They already knew Vlad back in 2016 and Dmitri didn't really like the touring bit. Dmitri still plays drums but more of a session player. He does have a little side project band going and he helped in the recording of Wallflower.

Absolutely loving this 😊 “Home Back” OMV and from this same concert is also a must. The OMV is a masterpiece, so definitely worth a watch especially given its content. But the live version from this same concert just shows how well they pull off live (not that you need any more proof). And I say just do them both as a double feature - none of us will mind 😉

Such an awesome and hard-hitting song! Definitely not one for the squeamish, Tati goes OFF! It kinda reminds me of the early Jinjer songs like "Ape," "Sit, Stay, Rollover," etc. There are a lot of great songwriters, but I can't think of any better poet in my lifetime than Tati! Excellent reaction, make them as long as you want, they're FUN!!! 💙💛

Thx for the recommandation. Most time when someone say "that girl can "compete" or "is better", ... than Tati, it's not the case. Or the singing is poor, or the growl is not so fat especialy live. But this time, wow. I did not know them so I've not heard enough, but she catched my attention. Her growl is deep and fat, with good high and low (but not so articulate than Tati's one), and the singing is realy good, but for my ears (and with the few I've heard) Tati is moore complete for singing. So I'll listen to more because that's good (the band seems also verry good). So I prefer Tati because I'm a Jinjer fan, but the vocalist of MergingMoon is the first which I think can be compared to my Queen without beeing ridiculous :D . Thx one more time. And that's just music and personnal taste. (sry if my English is not perfect, not native tongue)
