same here it was actually this song that got me to appreciate the artistry that is involved in harsh vocals. i could actually understand what Tati was singing and like yourself i started listening to Lorna Shore i like the symphonic element and Will's vocals are amazing. from LS i got to listen to Sleep Token (Will's favorite band)

Yo qa42 with the bomb request. I love Jinjer and originally found em through reactions to this very song 😂 They're one of my favorite bands these days. For reference, and I dunno if anyone's mentioned this already or not, since I haven't finished the video yet, this live session was meant more to showcase the drummer. So everything else is more processed and dubbed, and I think possibly a lot is dubbed in from the studio version. However, that is all her, and she does that shit live in countless songs. It's nuts 😂

As a very long term metal head, I found that my enjoyment of harsh vocals increased drastically as soon as I began to learn how the sounds were made and how the words are pronounced. 15 years ago I mainly would only listen to hard rock with mainly cleanish singing and instrumental metal with no vocals at all. A friend of mine challenged me to learn how to do harsh vocals and in doing so I suddenly couldn't get enough. Once I could sing along to the songs I was listening to, it made all the difference. Point is, it's entirely fine if you prefer the more clean styles, we understand :)

Great reaction guy! I’m not much into such music either but I like this one just for reactions. They’re from Ukraine. When the war started they all volunteered. They were told to continue touring and support the cause. Tatiana is a Pisces. It’s about swimming upstream looking for light and love only to be caught and killed by handsome butchers. Tatiana is a berserker. Floor with Nightwish is a Valkyrie. Maria with Heilung is a priestess/sorceress. Aurora is a serious/fun quirky forest fairy angel.😊

Anthony, I believe that these vocal stylings are related to low bass singers growling or sub-harmonics. Also, like what the extra low bass beatboxers do as well. Not exactly the same but related. It's also like the Mongolian throat singing. All use more false vocal folds rather than true vocal folds. Done correctly, true vocal folds are not hurt when doing this. Tatiana is a queen at it and can switch back and forth at will.

The guys create the music and hand it off to Tatiana who finds inspiration for the titles and lyrics. I assume that the guys enjoyed writing such a comlex piece. Then Tati got it and was like "oh this is like my internal emotional landscape" and Pisces was born. Subbed. Cheers!

The song is a two-sided coin, you only see one side at a time - and they are very different, yet part of the same coin. Until this song, I did not enjoy harsh vocals. Jinjer (specifically Tatiana) changed my mind, although I'm still very picky. Too many harsh vocalist just sound like they are vomiting.
