The band says it could be about any of them. That said, Tati struggles with severe chronic depression, so at least part of this is a very personal look at her own journey. There is an interview with her in Psychology Today that digs into that. I interprest the cuts as being external view vs. internal view. Note how in a lot of the cuts they nearly sync the movements between cuts, especially in the beginning to give the impression of the cut being just another side of the same image. Which is really slick editing. The creative team that created this deserves some big kudos.

@@j.f.fisher5318 Good read, but it saddens me to know someone I admire as a phenomenal creative artist is being challenged with such darkness. Makes me wish I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with her on that deeper level she craves. I know she reads a lot, and wonder if/what kind of self help books she might have in her collection. Wish I could hand her an Eckhart Tolle book.

@@Mick.Fitzmaurice I know my comments, likes, etc. are just drops in the bucket, but there is an old saying that no raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood. Conversely, I just hope to contribute a few drips here and a few drips there because they richly deserve the flood that is building.

@@j.f.fisher5318 Brother, I absolutely agree. I thought the same thing when I seen Sit Stay Roll Over 4 years ago! I started requesting them to the react channels that were around then. I know Jinjer has been around much longer, but over the past 4 years, I've watched the evolve from virtual obscurity into the phenomenon that they've become. Very happy for them and proud of them. It's kinda like watching your kids grow up!

Pit of Consciousness I keep on loosing the keys From reality An now I'm passing on the wheel To insanity. In a secluded corner Waiting for my time to come, Waiting for the bedlam To be pacified. I am climbing hand over fist And I scratch concrete. Shine in the end... My mistake it's not there. The air is terribly heavy here It settles inside And I suffer burn after burn From the dark. Burn In a pit of consciousness Squeal is bleeding So I feel there was someone else Before me. Eyes are changing colors. A stranger knocks on my mind. I became a foreigner To myself! Myself Stillness stuns. Wish I'd run Creeped away to the light. In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul. In the darkest place What was once named "consciousness" I'm a miniature, I'm a sketch forfeiting outlines. Irrelevant entity to sanity, A hive for nonsense, For multiple selves Resonating, but never compromising. Stillness stuns. Wish I'd run Creeped away to the light. In my head someone else Setting snares For my soul. For my soul... Waiting for my mind to be pacified
