I love when BTS combines different cultures in their music. They used Korean instruments (the daegeum) and African kalimba in this song. This is honestly one of my favorite collabs for them. This song IS going to be used for their new game, BTS WORLD. There’s one more song coming out with RM, Suga, and one image said Juice WRLD but we’ll see.

I don't really want him to. It's not about being sensitive to criticism, but just that despite the strict and credible tone he tries to set, he's not very objective and able to analyze a song that he doesn't like stylistically. MONO isn't a normal album made for profit that can be judged. It was a "Playlist" created through the depths of his pain and struggle in a very hard time. Unless Jino is just checking it out, it's just not for his judgment. Namjoon was literally trying to keep from crying when it released.

zara larsson is a swedish singer! she started out when she won the sweden’s got talent in 2008 and debuted in 2013 (same year as bts!). she’s really known for her vocal runs & high notes, actually :) i suggest you check out “never forget you” or “funeral”! she’s incredible and definitely deserves more recognition

welcome back! ooh i'm happy to see you like A Brand New Day, not only that but you pretty much said everything i thought while listening to it. i also preferred this song over Dream Glow, i think it's a lot more unique and punchier. and i also agree how well the collaboration fit, all 3 of the participants were shining in their own rights. zara larsson is a swedish singer whom i only known the name of before this song, i heard her name floating around but never listened to any of her music. she's obviously quite the amazing singer, i was very satisfied with her on this song. and it might be an unpopular opinion but i was the happiest about her not being a "hidden" collab that's just mostly in the background. i was glad to hear her getting actual lines and the chance to hear her adding her own taste to the song to this extent. i feel like this game soundtrack side project was a good opportunity for bts to kinda play around and figure out how to make smoother and smoother collabs? possibly. i see them playing around with placements and line distribution and they are a lot more daring and playful with these collabs than their previous official releases. which i like hearing. but i agreed with you about how i wish taehyung would've come in in the last part of the song to song together with zara, i wanted to hear them going back and forth or harmonizing or whatever. i'm sad to hear that your friday lives not gonna be uploaded anywhere at all after they end real-time. because of time-zones i barely ever get to catch lives and yours happens to be smack in the middle of the night for me, sadly. i wish you'd record/uploaded at least some of the reaction cuts you like from it. doing second reactions sounds like double the work for me, but anyway, i guess in case i'm pulling zombie hours i'm gonna try catching you sometime.

I'm really glad you liked this song for the game better Jino. Yes this song" Brand New Day" and "Dream Glow" are both songs for the BTS World mobile phone game. I believe if I'm not mistaken that there will be a 3rd original song released for the game as well. So these are not album songs but original songs specifically for the game. I actually read on twitter for the Dream Glow song Charlie xcx originally wrote the song about seeing somebody in a club and liking their glow then BTS got the song and rewrote the lyrics to be about pursuing your dreams but without being too specific, thank god because it sounds like it was an even way more generic pop song that talked about clubbing before they started collaboration on it. The game songs are meant to be more simple, something you can listen to during gameplay that's not super distracting or sounds good in the background is my thinking. It sounds like sometimes timing and atmosphere can have an effect on some of your reactions, or you might need to ponder a song for a bit before you can fully express your feelings on it. I sometimes have this myself usually it's movies with me but sometimes songs too. If that's the case I think your viewers will understand if you need to wait on releasing a reaction on something or you need to revisit a song later on to give your full perspective on it.

So far this is my most favorite among the game OST... It's just feel light, bright but also groovy... And the way they combine ethnic and modern beat is really great... makes me dance to it eveytime I hear it... The flutes were Daegeum and Danso. Both are Korean wood winds. The little plucky metal melody is from the kalimba instrument (african origin). the beat is closer to a latin reggae rhythm. Mura Masa, the producer they collab’d with in this song is one of my favorite contemporary electronic producers. His sound isnt very “traditional” but very atmospheric and has a sense of free-ness that i enjoy. Check him out! If you like Zara Larsson, she won Swedish Got Talent a long time ago when she was a kid. You can find her current stuff on Spotify.

Yes I too agree that it would be great if we can see harmonisation between V and Zara but whew dear lord V’s voice really just blew me away...I really love V’s voice because of the range of his vocal, he can go very low to very high pitch and still sound stable and pleasing, but this song...his casual singing really is just *chef’s kisses*

Hey Jino!! Glad to see you back~~ I like this song a lot better than dream glow too! I found myself accidentally listening to it 3 times in a row on first go and I didn’t get tired of it at all. It’s like a mix of Korean/African sounds but in a totally different way than IDOL which I think is super cool! Taehyung really suits this kind of sound and since Hobi’s base rap is more trap/modern,he really fits in with these kind of trendy sounds. I had never heard Zara’s music before this so I was worries but she really suits the song! I said the same thing too though, that I wish their voices came together more.
