Honestly, if they really wanted the over 9000, just have him break the scale used to measure ranks. Don't even beat around the bush with a second test. As for everything else, I feel like this is just a time-saver, so they don't have to introduce other characters just to say what his rank is. Maybe, I think in the Manhwa, he was still an unknown rank for several chapters.

bro, if you are above A rank metrics, you are automatically an S. It's not really important if you are 9000, 9001, or 9999. Then you will get different power sizes in the same rank, but they are all S ranks.. from top to bottom.
