@ 19:07 - you misunderstood that. It’s interpreted that each individual has 3 chances of joining the shadow army - and it depend on level/ power comparison between summoner and the summoned . Like with Igris, The first time he was not able to extract because of him being higher level. In the end jin-woo had to give a meaning (he says “serve me and not the empty throne”) and igris accepts. Similarly this high elf was higher level than Jin-woo so he was able to reject the summon.

20:10 It is somewhat like a cold thing he did right there but remember when he assessed the situation that even with Igris and him, it would be a hard time fighting Barka and that he thought he needed somewhat of a stronger force. At that point he didn't have anyone in mind for that role so it had to be the crazy A ranked. Also every time someone intends to kill Jin Woo, the system gives him the quest to kill that person instead so he kinda had no choice but to do so.

Just to explain some details you missed in this episode but the readers of the manhwa//novel knows, Jin Woo didn't kill Kim just because he tried to kill him, but if you read carefully the what he was saying, you will notice that he thinked he needed more man power to win and than he noticed the sword of Kim, he than used his attack to Barok to send the sword to Kim so he can attack him. That's why Kim said that Jin Woo know he would attack him and that's also why just before Kim attacked him, he (Jin woo) said that he used the mage attack to "buy some times" for Kim to attack and than Igris used the snow so that the humans doesn't see Jin Woo kill and Arise Kim.

@@hxenjwel Actually, they didn't overtly show it in the anime (they kept spotlighting Hunter Kim's sword, showing it close to Jinwoo/far away from Kim, then show it suddenly lying next to Kim) but Jinwoo set Hunter Kim up to die by kicking his sword over to him while he ese unconscious, knowing that Kim would attack him when he woke up, thereby giving Jinwoo an excuse to kill & revive/Arise him. The System didn't do it this time, Jinwoo consciously not only killed someone, not only decided to kill someone but *planned* to kill someone this time, which is what bothered him so much.

Never read the comic, but from my guess that elf guy is probably someone else that had been reawakened, thus making him unable to be resurrected by Jin as if the system only allowed that skill to work on someone or something that is not a "reawakened" person since they've already died. My other thought is that all the S rankers are people that died and came back with immersive power-ups.

I think the reason Jinwoo couldn't raise Barca, is he was at this limit of shadows he could have at this Intel level. Remember he just raised all those Ice bears as well as the Ice Bear leader, and Kim Chul, so it's likely he couldn't raise a 3rd HIGH RANKED Shadow at his current level of Intelligence/Mana.

If Jinwoo is extracting a shadow especially with a specific person or individual he has 3 try only.. this does not mean the number of tries he can do in a day.. although there are actually a limit of number he can extract for example the limit is 20/20… it was also show from the previous season and the manhwa has a better explanation.. the more Jinwo leveled up the number increase as well.. making his army more in numbers… also him killing Hunter Kim is indeed cold although the system will also detect hostility from causing the system to make an urgent request to “kill him” similar from the previous season…A lot are confuse about the last part and how Jinwoo reply “and?” Jinwo has a very nonchalant personality you would notice it from season 1 also.. when a nurse ask for his number and he thought that maybe they will send him the test result 😅
