I have been using airtel xstream fibre since 3 years. Yes with fibre technology the speed is really very fast as compared to conventional copper wire routers/modems that we had before. It's same device and wires in my airtel V-fibre conection but they never charged for the device and any security deposit. Speed is blazing fast....Anyways JIO must be having their own business strategy. One advice for people who are installing this fibre technology routers - if you face any connectivity issue please check if that thin yellow wire is anyhow twisted or not. Since it's fibre technology so the wire has to be straight or at least not twisted at any point. As the twist in the wire can disrupt the optic signal that travels through that thin wire. This once happened with me and my net was down for a whole day. Later when the service person from airtel came then he pointed out this to me. By mistake my maid had pulled the wire and twisted it while cleaning the area. Just making the yellow wire straight resolved the issue.

I have used hathway fibre broadband for 2 years and never faced the twisting of yellow wire which was connected from black box to the router. But yes kabhi 1 month me ya fir kabhi 3 month k baad bich Bich me server down ho jata tha and LOS ki red light jal jati thi.

Many people have also said that its a successful scam, Site ki Terms and Conditions me ISP wale likh dete hai ki jab aap connectivity discontinue karenge to apko modem and adopter wapas dena hoga. Agar router ya adopter me kuch bhi kharaab nikla to apko apni jeb se uske repair charges dene padenge. And jab aap bolenge ki mene refundable amount pay kiya tha starting me usse kaat lo to wo kahenge ki Terms and Conditions me likha hai ki apko apni jeb se usi time hatho hath repair charges pay karni hai.

Check ur jio network ( signals) first. If it's 1-2 signal strength it's useless to buy jio fiber , jio sim , jioFi
