Jion Kata , Practising Kumite Drills in Kata Training

Welcome back to JKA KARATE Club Channel, This time, the video show you, how we can use the combination techniques ni Kata Jion to kumite training. Originally Age uke and gyaku tsuki - 3 times, but we change it as combination of punch then mix with uke and tsuki, as what we did in kumite training. Yeah , same here . I had the opportinity to train with him during the 2023 gasshuku before indo pacific cup . Its quite an experience to replicate his hip movements haha ! but if you check kuro-obi world channel , he explains some of the budo techniques which can help understand a bit.

@@D4nTDI I hope your hips have fully recovered. 😁 If it's any consolation, I doubt that he'll be using his hips like that when he's in his senior years. Yes I agree with you about Kuro Obi & some of his explanations. Quite educational and a side of the Martial Arts that is at risk of being lost. So good on him. There's an excellent Kuro Obi featuring Yaguchi Sensei (retired ISKF) that I'd recommend. I have trained with Naka Sensei in Japan, New Zealand & Australia, and like him as person and an instructor. I think he's a great personality and asset for JKA. None the less not all of his ideas are for me.
