Jives Fishing is Back | Surf Fishing at Marina Barrage | Snapper Fishing

Hi guys, first of all, I believe we owe all of you an apology for going missing on youtube since the last video 2 years ago. We were entering a new phase in life and there was quite alot of things going on, so we didnt have much time or bandwidth to film videos. Nonetheless, we have still been fishing on and off the past years and just chilling. Moving on, we will be trying to film as much as possible so do be patient with us! Hope everyone is safe and having tight lines :)
Anyway, we're at Marina Barrage today with some of our friends from Gonjol Anglers (check out their FB page) - we didn't film them much though haha. Surf fishing here is pretty fun aside from the mosquitoes, and we caught a nice snapper using kelong sotong/squid as bait. Thank you for the video. Sorry for the loss of the rod. I noted during reeling in, you had a slight offset angle, and the rod spine was not utilized. Regarding the frequent loss rigs at that area, you can use rotten bottom rigs instead. Good fishing.

It seems ok at Marina Barrage area. ECP side still have oil coming out from the canals, so just be wary.

Best to go when tide is 1.5 and above, and use a longer rod like 9ft and above because you must cast abit further here to avoid getting stuck in the rocks.

The situation at barrage seems ok currently. ECP side still quite abit of oil here and there, especially at canals when outgoing tide
